They see two figures in their dorm, presumably their roommates. The higher class rooms usually have bigger beds and better quality rooms in general. It was quite obvious this room wasn't as good as the high class ones.It wasn't run down or dirty though, just painfully plain and cramped for a 4 person room.
The two figures, one was a dragon.
The room had two sets of bunk beds, the two of them seemed to have already taken one set. America went ahead to the other unoccupied set and took the top bunk.
Russia followed along and took the bottom bunk, it seems their roommates were wary of them but didn't care enough so they just ignored the American and Russian duo.
Their roommates spoke with each other in a different language that Russia didn't understand.
America spoke to Russia in a hushed voice so the other two didn't hear him, "they're talking about us."
"You speak their language?"
"Sort of, the king forced me to learn as many languages as I could." America replied nonchalantly. Russia furrowed his brows, "what language are they speaking?"
The American smiled and turned his head towards their roommates, "Korean."
"They're talking about whether they should be careful of us, it seems they know who I am and about your criminal record," America added. Russia squinted, "they seem like siblings despite one being a dragon and the other not being one. I'm guessing one parent should be a dragon and the other isn't."
"Indeed, usually in these situations both would be half dragon but genes do vary so their case isn't impossible but uncommon. You're quite smart despite never going to school," America turned back to Russia with a smirk.
The Russian rolled his eyes, "I picked up some stuff along the way."
The prince chuckled, "let's say hi shall we?"
America spoke louder so the other two could hear him this time, "Hi there, I'm America and this is Russia, but I'm sure you two know that already, what's your names?"
The two brothers turned to them with an detached expression, seemingly not interested in conversing with them. They turned to Russia who had a cold gaze directed at them.
"I'm South Korea and this is North Korea, we'll be leaving for class now." South replied, America could tell he didn't want to talk to them, trying to shut down the conversation as fast as he could.
The two Korean men walked to the door together, North spoke as they walked, " 그들에게 말하지 말고 학년이 끝날 때까지 거리를 유지합시다. (Don't talk to them, let's just keep our distance until the end of the school year.)"
"그것은 꽤 의미가 있습니다. 그냥 친구가되고 싶어요. (That's quite mean I just want to be friends.)" America offhandedly commented in Korean. The two brothers paused in their step and turned to America.
The prince could guess, they were a bit surprised that the prince could understand Korean. But they didn't show it too obviously on their faces.
"우리는 수업하러 떠난다. (We're leaving for class, bye.)" North said with a hostile glare then the two of them left the room.
"I want them as allies," America suddenly said. Now the two of them could talk without whispering. "Why? You don't even know South's ability yet, you don't know how well North is able to use his dragon abilities either."
The shorter male laughed, he climbed down from his top bunk, "they seem fairly confident in their ability to defend themselves since they didn't hide their hostility towards us. So they must be somewhat strong."
