"Are you sure you two still want to go to Oceania? The ocean's going to freeze over soon, it's going to be a tad breezy, no?" Tad was an understatement, but New Zealand and Australia were well aware of their father's speech habits, he's probably being sarcastic.
New Zealand smoothened her dress, a palm sized metal ball hovering atop her hand, little circular patterns dotted around the circumference. It was their portable space, used to store luggage for traveling convenience. "Then we'll have to rush over quick before the water freezes," she said.
Britain let out a loud sigh, "well I guess there's no stopping you two. Just be careful, and don't interact with hooded people." With a mutter he added, "I just read the papers about the revolutionaries, they already killed the queen, and they're probably going after all the royalty."
"Gotcha', don't worry dad, me, Kiwi, and Nada will protect you and mom when they come to Britannia. Besides, I'm sure America is working to stop the revolutionaries, there's no way the Central King wouldn't order him to." Aussie reassured.
Britain shook his head, pressing his knuckles against his lips, "no I'm not worried about me and your mother. I'm worried about you guys."
A giggle came from the doorway, "well then that's why Aussie and Zealand have to get there on time before the winter academy starts. You two will have to come back stronger okay?"
A woman in a slender but elegant silver dress stood in the doorway, her dress exposed her fair clear skin on her shoulders with a few minor scars littered underneath, she held a tray of pastries in her hands and a warm smile on her face. France, the queen of Britannia.
The winter academy in Oceania is extra lessons through the season of winter, aimed for people around Zealand and Aussie's age to get extra training before the next semester of school starts. Although there are quite a few of these academies in each kingdom, Australia in particular really loves the one in Oceania, partially for the aquatic wildlife.
France placed the tray on Britain's desk, taking a bite out of one of the velvet macaroons. "Help yourselves before you leave, the carriage will be here soon."
"And you, don't be so overprotective, they'll be fine, they have magnificent abilities that'll keep them safe," this part was directed at Britain.
The British man couldn't help but let out a dry chuckle, munching on a biscuit, while Zealand and Aussie also took some pastries. "Send us a letter if anything happens," Britain tugged his collar, he looked out the window to see the carriage pull up to their palace front door.
It had a different shape from the usual carriage, this is because its a carriage meant to be used for travel to Oceania, hence it has adjusted features for water travel practicality.
Their parents gave them a hug just before they entered the carriage, the air was already starting to drop a few temperatures, cold winds brushed against their skin.
"We'll be back soon! Stay safe." New Zealand popped her head out the window, waving at them as the carriage disappeared further and further away, until its completely out of their sight.
France shivered, not expecting it to already be this cold today. However, warmth enveloped her when she felt an item being draped around her shoulders. It was Britain's outer coat.
"Care for a spar?" Britain already turned around, holding France by the hand as they returned to their palace where it was much warmer. A grin formed on France's face, "why so sudden? We usually duel on evenings no? Its hardly 10 in the morning."
"Well, maybe we should train more, our abilities are pretty useless so at least, lets be good enough to defend ourselves if the revolutionaries come here to overthrow us. We wouldn't want Canada, Australia and New Zealand to be worried about us."
