In all honesty, the hunch was merely that - a hunch, a lucky hunch. It first started when Indo and Phil were distraught over the appearance of Thailand on the screen back in the labyrinth. They said something along the lines of, "he'd never work for the queen. We came here to save them, would they even come home now?"
Keyword them. Russia told America everything. Everything that happened with Vietnam, word for word. She said "Indo and Phil can be quite the handful sometimes."
Not only that but Thailand was twirling his bead necklace during his short appearance on the big screen, which was oddly matching to the beaded accessories hanging off Vietnam's hat.
At minimum, Indo, Phil and Malay were trying to save the two of them. They were all close, so why would Thailand look so giddy and happy when he and Hong Kong beat her up. Even going as far as unnecessarily humiliating her, if he was trying to keep up an act, surely he didn't need to go that far.
Something or someone was probably controlling them, but for some reason it didn't affect Vietnam. Those 5 former players were extremely powerful as well, America and Russia didn't doubt they could win.
Of course this was just a shot in the dark. It would be quite sad if their hunch happened to be wrong, however judging by the look on the queen's face, safe to say they got at least some parts correct.
"You- unbelievable, what an absurd string of lies! My, you keep entertaining me even after winning," she said quickly with a giggle at the end, the duo noticed the heightening of her pitch and how her fingers twitched.
America grinned, pointing at the giant tree behind her, enclosed in the most beautiful greenhouse with vines running along the walls ,and flowers in every nook and cranny. "Then I'm sure you wouldn't mind me destroying that tree of yours? Just a word of advice; don't discuss your trading business with the African King during a meeting so out in the open. I have great hearing y'know."
The true lethality of the American military weapon was not only his incredible fighting skills or terrifying smarts, but rather most importantly - he was someone important to the rulers, close to them. Always watching and listening from a distance. It used to be to protect them... but now, he sought for their heads.
Their dirty little secrets, America knows by heart. What happens behind closed doors in the palaces, he knows.
Right now, his typically charming smile and bright mismatched eyes, ones that the queen always loved, made her stomach drop to the lowest pit it could manage.
He knows.
She can't let him leave. Not that she intended to let him anyway.
The queen's eyes narrowed, abandoning the act, immediately shifting her heels to dash for the greenhouse. The five of them followed closely behind, the southeast Asian trio especially angry after hearing that Vietnam and Thailand were being held here against their will.
A sharp long item narrowly grazed her cheek as she leaped higher with the help of her plants to boost her, shoes clicking against the greenhouse she now stood atop of. She raised a shaky hand to her cheek, watching the crimson liquid drip down her chin and dye her fingers.
Then, her violet eyes glared at the five of them underneath her.
Grimy thick vines shot out of the greenhouse, each glass wall shattering into a million little fragments as it created a hideous looking dome around the giant tree.
"Hmph, it seems like I've underestimated you two, you're smarter than you look," she snapped towards the prince and guard duo. The vines pulled even tighter, replicating the sound of a rope being pulled taut. "And you three are ASEAN's little children she adopted aren't you? I never expected you guys to be so... troublesome."
