The Chinese man saw red. His hands balled into fists by his sides as he stomped forward, not even caring if the prince noticed his presence.America turned towards the approaching heavy footsteps. Just as fast as it came, he was unceremoniously sucker-punched straight in the jaw.
He tumbled to the ground, slamming his head on the cold wooden floor. What followed was the taste of iron on his lips and a stinging pain in his jaw. The prince supported his weight on his elbows and grinned, then regretted it immediately after a sharp ache spread around his face. "You could've just asked if you wanted to use me to vent your frustrations, I don't mind."
China straddled him by the hips and grabbed his arrogant ass by the collar, "You fucker! You knew this entire time and you didn't say a word! I should've known, you're smart as hell, why wouldn't you know? Of course you knew, goddammit!!"
"What? Do you get off on playing with his feelings? Playing with his loyalty to see how far he'd go for you? Do you know how much effort he's put into courting you? How dare you pretend to be clueless this whole time?!"
A memory resurfaced, China remembered the moment America left the estate to get the crates, Russia nervously shuffled towards the Chinese man as he lounged around in his garden, cup of tea and a good book in hand. China chuckled, "You look like you wanna talk to me."
Then, Russia flushed a light hue of pink, "Well- um, do you happen to know any good places to take someone here in Asia?"
China raised an eyebrow, "Is this about the prince?"
"I didn't say that!!"
After a moment of thinking, Russia muttered, "Maybe..."
China laughed and set down his porcelain teacup, "You're putting in a lot of effort aren't you?"
He expected the Russian to get protective again and defend himself, but instead, a small smile spread across his lips and his skin was dyed a pretty hue of red, "I want to spend the rest of my days by his side, so putting the effort isn't so hard, nothing is too much for him. Just him smiling, even a little is enough for me."
Realizing a bit too late, Russia quickly added, "Don't tell him I said that, I-I just want to be a good... friend."
China found it amusing how Russia was still trying to hide his feelings from the rest of the group when he was being this obvious. But he'll never forget those tender eyes the Russian displayed when he talked about the prince, his fidgety hands and stiffened tail. If he had a partner with half as much adoration as Russia did, he'd be over the moon.
That's why when he found out America's been feigning ignorance this entire time, pretending not to notice the Russian's feelings for him, he was livid. The audacity of this prince!
The grin on the prince's face faded, China continued to raise his voice, "If you don't like him, say it! Tell him! Stop stringing him along. If you like him too, then confess, make him the happiest dragon in the world! Make up your mind, do you like him or do you not?!"
America was silent, his bruised lips trembled, seemingly unable to utter a sound. But in the end, the prince finally croaked in a hushed voice, "I don't know."
"What the hell do you mean you don't know? You're supposed to know by now! It's been a year or two!"
America raised his voice, however China could tell, he was more panicked than angry.
"I know I'm supposed to know, but I don't! I know it's stupid, but he'll leave me one day when he finds out what a cold lifeless monster I am anyway. So why does it matter if I know or not?!" America spat quickly, "Whatever, get off me China, we'll forget this conversation ever happened."
