The prince perked up in intrigue as another drop of sweat slid down his cheek. A blue glow enveloped the room, the holographic board game shattered into a million fragments of light.
Like wisps of smoke in the wind, floating away, never to be seen again.
Once again the room was submerged in darkness, the gentle gleam of the moonlight was the only thing that managed to creep in.
UN rested his chin on the back of his stitched hands, "earlier this morning..."
...
A magnificent carriage rolled into the palace, adorned in blue and paired with intricate silver patterns that resembled those of interconnecting stars. As the carriage halted in its tracks, three imposing figures stepped out.
One was a woman, striking and dignified, combined with a pair of seemingly judgmental eyes underneath her glasses. Along with the woman were two men, UN, who seemed to be the most relaxed of the trio. An award winning smile plastered on his face, he had the air of an important figure, yet the way he acted seemed rather out of place.
Then there was EU, dressed in his attire of back when he was a god, intricate white suit as well as yellow liquid dripping down his cheek. Mortals would find it weird, but the liquid is somewhat equivalent to tears, it also has the essence of light within them.
Or as UN and ASEAN liked to call him, 'our portable bioluminescent glow stick.'
The palace guards bowed to salute them as the trio entered the palace doors. Grand palace walls surrounded them, walls and walls surrounded in gold carvings. Chandeliers that hung from the ceiling with candles blazing brightly, it jingled as it swayed in the wind.
Climbing a long staircase and walking down a hallway led them to a meeting room. In the room were 7 people, all of which were each kingdom's respective rulers around a table.
"Your majesties, mind explaining why we've been summoned here today?" UN spoke as the three of them took a seat at the last remaining empty chairs.
These meetings were usually only between rulers, yet the three of them were called over to join this time. It was quite peculiar.
The central king smiled, "I assume you've heard of the recent incident."
"Are you perhaps talking about the massacre near the outskirts of the village?" UN rested his chin on the back of his hand, his smile morphed into a serious expression.
"Indeed, I have a sneaking suspicion that this is only the start. They will continue to grow and may pose a threat to all the kingdoms."
As the king said this, all the other rulers perked up to listen in, backs straightened and their expressions stiff. The king of Africa slammed his fist onto the table, "I lost my most reliable supplier, they better be caught soon!"
"Don't you have other suppliers as well? Why are you getting so pissy?" Another man spoke, the king of Europe.
The Asian queen didn't want to butt into their dispute, she seemed to always maintain a good relationship with all the other rulers. She merely watched them argue from afar with a fan in her grasps. Any form of entertainment would suffice for her. As for Oceania, well... he didn't show up. He never shows up.
ASEAN cleared her throat "Your majesty, that still doesn't explain why we were called here."
"When the revolutionaries attacked, coincidentally Germany was there because she was supposed to do the monthly checkup."
Asia's queen's expression dropped, "even with Germany there we still don't know who they are?" It was natural that everyone knew Germany, she was resourceful and had a knack for her job. Even someone as good as her couldn't manage to capture them...
