AMARIS PHERENICE
There was once a simple teenage girl, named Amaris, who was being ignored because her neighbors were afraid of her and considered her as a witch because of her magical abilities. However, even though they were so rude to her, she was still helping them but they didn't know it because they were blinded by their detestation towards her.
One morning, Amaris saw a man lying on the rocky side of the lake. She hurriedly ran towards the unconscious man and checked him. After that, she brought him to her small cottage and then she began healing him using magic. A few hours later, the man woke up and Amaris immediately casted an invisible spell on herself because she didn't want him to be afraid of her.
Amaris watched him as he scanned the whole cottage. She trembled and became nervous when he locked his eyes towards her direction. Can he see me?, she asked to herself.
"I know you're in there. Show yourself," the man said and instantly, without hesitation she showed herself.
She didn't understand why she did that because she never showed herself to anyone when they asked her to do so. She felt something was wrong that was why she turned to him who was smirking.
"Who are you?!" she asked. The man stood up, still looking at her, which made her really nervous.
"I'm Prince Henry, your fiancé, from Herondale," said the prince then he bowed and looked at her again.
Amaris was shocked after hearing it and she wasn't able to contain herself that was why she lost her balance and almost fell but due to the fast reflexes of the prince, he was able to catch her. When Amaris gathered herself up, she pushed the prince and tried to stay away from him but she couldn't. That made her confused.
"Are you controlling me?" she asked and the prince nodded. "Ho...how did you do that?"
"I'm more skillful than you when it comes to magic because I grew up in Herondale."
The prince approached Amaris then, he touched her forehead and instantly, Amaris saw the memories of the prince, which included the place Herondale, its people, her family and their younger version, like she was traveling into other dimensions. After that, she moved her face away and breathed heavily. After what she'd seen, she realized she'd been wrong for thinking that her parents abandoned her because she was a freak.
"You're extraordinary, not a freak. People in this place wouldn't understand that." Amaris was surprised that the prince could also read minds. "And I'm here to fetch you and bring to Herondale. Are you coming?"
Amaris was shocked by that unexpected invitation. At first she was confused but when she remembered what the prince had said and the memories she saw, she realized something, maybe this was her shot to feel normal and be at home.
"Yes," she said which made the prince smile wider.
"They're waiting for you, Princess Amaris Pherenice."
