Confidence- chapeter 18

"Hey. Guys wake up." I was shaken to.
I opened my eyes and saw Kian standing over us.
"Hey. If either one of you are going to school you need to leave now. You don't have to go but if you are." Kian said.

Both Roary and myself sat up.
I look to him and he smiled at me.
"I'm not going." I said.
"Yeah. I'm gonna stay here with you." Roary said looking at me.

"Okay. I'll leave you two alone then." Kian said walking out the door.
"Thank you." I said.
"You're welcome baby." Roary said pulling me into a hug.

Baby? Are we dating? I don't know. I wouldn't mind if we were! I mean he is totally hott.

Ugh! Curse the girl hormones!

I leaned back onto the bed and Roary watched me.

"Do you want to go eat at IHOP?" He asked me.
I took a deep breath and then answered.
"Yeah. I guess." I said as I threw off the covers.
"Do you want to go with your brothers?" He asked.
"Do you want them to come?" I asked.
"It doesn't matter to me." He replied.
"Okay." I said.

He left the room and got them to get ready.
I just slipped on a Minnie Mouse sweater an skinny jeans. I grabbed a pair of combat boots and put them on.

As I stood up Roary walked back in.

"You ready?" He asked me.
"Yeah." I said and grabbed my phone.

The two of us walked downstairs and then we all walked out of the house.

We got in one of the cars and drove to ihop. It was really awkward in the car. I guess it's because everyone is still sad.

I still can't believe it happened.

After about twenty minutes in the car we arrived at the restaurant. My phone dinged as I got out of the car. I didn't look at it until we got inside.

'Hey sis. Where are you? And what happened last night? You didn't even tell me bye :(... Anyways call me so I know you're okay! Love you!!'

The text was from Liz. I called her back and walked to the bathroom.

"Hey girly!" Lia answered the phone as.
"Heyy." I said in a low voice.
"Are you okay? What happened last night." She asked.
"Dad was in a car accident." I spoke quietly.
"Oh my gosh! Is he okay?" She asked.
"No. He's gone." I said.
"You're kidding right?" She asked.
"No." I said.
"Okay. Is Roary with you by any chance?" She questioned.
"Yeah he's with me." I answered.
"Okay. Well I love you. I'll talk to you later." She said.
"Love you too. Bye." I said and hung up.

I walked back out and say at out table.
I sat in between Roary and kaden.

After ordering we started talking.

"So are you two dating?" Kian asked and looked at me.

I looked at Roary and he looked at me. I could tell he didn't know what to say, but neither did I.

"Well?" Kaden asked signaling is to answer.
"Umm." I said.
"Yeah. We are." Roary said looking. At Kian.

I looked at him.

Yay!

"Did kayla know about this." Kian laughed.
Roary just looked at me and smiled.

Okay?
Yay!

"No breaking that promise Kayla." Kian looked at me sternly.
"I won't." I smiled.

Roary looked at me kinda embarrassed causing me to laugh.

After a few minutes our food came out.
Yes!

We all ate quietly.

After we ate I paid then we all left. It was already time to go to the funeral home.

"Do you want us to take you home Roary?" I asked.
"No. I wanna go with you." He said.

As we pulled up to the place a tear slipped down my cheek.
Roary wiped it away and grabbed my hand.

"I love you" he whispered to me.

Then we all got out of the car and walked into the place.

"Hi. Who are you here for?" An elderly woman asked.
"Taylor." Kian said.

After he said that the woman told us to wait and she went to get someone. She came back out with an elder man.

I'm guessing it was her husband.

"Taylor?" He asked.
"Yes sir." Kian said.
"Right this way." He said leading us into another room.

We walked in and saw him in a casket. It looked the exact same as moms. Another tear slipped down my face.

I sat in one of the chairs that they had.
The casket was open. They told us that he didn't look bad. I just wasn't ready to see him yet.

The man came in the room and asked us questions. Kian was the one to answer all of them.

I got up and walked over to see him.
I cried and Roary came to comfort me.
He hugged me and kissed the top of my head when kaden walked over with me.

Roary went to sit down and kalin and kaden hugged me.
The man soon left and then Kian joined us. He was the only one not crying. Other than Roary.

I cried harder and then went to sit by Roary.
I wasn't ready for this.
"I love you." He said.
I didn't respond I just sat there.
