Confidence chapter seven
HelpI felt a lot better today. I wake up and shower. I then walk down the stairs and into the kitchen. I make me some cereal and quickly eat it.
Time for school. Yay! Not.
My dad then walked down the stairs in his suit.
"You ready?" He asked.
"Yep." I say to him.We walk out to the car and he takes me.
"Bye." I say and shut my door.
I walk to my locker right as the bell rang.
Time for class.
Math class."Take your seats." Mr. Sasser.
I sit at my usual table. Yes table not desk. Our school looks like a college but it's not.
I sit down then someone sits next to me. I look over to see Josh.
"You get grades today. Like report cards." Me. Sasser said.
I'm really good at math. I always have been. I guess I have my dad to thank for that.
The teacher came around handing out our grades.
He hands me mine. Then hands Josh his.
I look at mine and smile. I hear Josh sigh.
"What did you get?" I ask.
"Umm nothing." He said and stuffed the paper in his bag.
"Come on just tell me." I say.
"What did you make?" He asked.
"Umm I made a 96" I say.
"Okay, I'm not telling you." He said.
"I won't laugh." I say.
"Fine! 74." He said quietly.
"Josh, you won't be able to play the next game." I say quiet.
"I know." He said sadly."Josh, Kayla. I'll need to see you after class." The teacher said.
We both look at Mr. Sasser then to each other. Ugh!Class went quickly.
Everyone left the room and Josh and I walked to the teacher.
"Kayla, you're doing great. Josh, not so much." He said.
"Yeah I know." Josh said.
"Kayla, you'll be giving Josh lessons. Help." Mr.Sasser said.
"What! No." Josh and I both said.
"Yes. If you fail this class Josh you lose your spot on the team." He said.
"What doesn't that have anything to do with me?" I ask.
"If he loses his spot I'll fail you and you lose yours." He said.
"That's not fair!" I say.
"Don't let him fail." He said.Josh and I both walk out of the class.
"Sorry." Josh said.
"Yeah. Whatever." I say.
"We can schedule for Friday's." I add.
"Okay." Josh said.Friday~~
Time to teach Josh.
I really don't want to.
But I'm not losing my spot.
I can't lose my spot on the team.
I won't lose my spot on the team ever."Hi." I say as I walk into his house.
"Hi." He says.
"Where's your family." I ask.
"It's Emily's birthday. My little sister." He said.
"Then why aren't you out with them!" I ask.
"Because read this." He said handing me a pink book.I look at it then to him. I then read it.
'I don't want a store cake. I think my brother should make me one. That would be nice'
I read.
"Josh! Is this your sisters diary!" I ask.
"Yeah." He said.
"You can't read this!" I yell.
"It's my job." He said.
"No! It's not! A girl needs her privacy!" I say.
"Sorry." He said.
"Go put it up!" I say.
"Will you help me bake a cake or no." He asked.
"I don't know how to!" I say.
"Please." He says.
"Fine! I'll try." I say.
