As I walk away from the slammer Thomas walks up to me and grabs my arm. I turn sharply towards him and look at him, guilt fills my body and weighs me down. I know I should have chatted to him sooner, but I couldn't face him, but now I am, and I have to be brave. He looks down at me with sad eyes, I open my mouth to say something, but he cuts me off.
"Gally? Really Holly, my rival?" He asks sternly but softly. His grip on my arm loosens but he keeps contact with my skin.
"I didn't mean for it to happen Thomas, I just couldn't stop the thoughts of him invading my head. I truly am so sorry that it happened like this, I was going to talk to you, but I didn't know how to tell you." Tears start forming in my eyes, "I love you Thomas, just not in the way you want. I'm so sorry." At this point, tears are literally streaming down my face and trailing down my neck. The anger in Thomas' eyes vanishes and turns into sadness, he reaches down and wipes the tears off of my cheeks. I meet his eyes and he flashes me a small smile.
"I know you're sorry Holly, I believe you. I just wish it wasn't like this. I really want to stay friends with you, but I need some time before I can be around you. Anyway, Alby wants to talk to me, so this is goodbye for a while." Before I realise it, Thomas' lips meet mine and then he walks away. I put my fingers to my lips trying to understand what just happened. He just kissed me then left. I jolt out of my confused daze and head over to the kitchen to make lunch. I make lunch in silence and ignore the questions and confused looks from Frypan. After eating I feel a bit better and help Newt out in the garden.
"Hey Holly," He turns around to see the subdued expression I have, "oh what's up? Are you alright?"
"Umm, I'm not sure Newt. Thomas kissed me before lunch then walked off, I think I've lost him and now Gally is in the slammer and I feel like the worst person in the world for cheating on Thomas and now I feel like klunk because Thomas kissed me and I'm with Gally." I'm overwhelmed with emotions and sit down on the grass. Newt stands there for a couple of seconds before joining me on the grass. He takes my hand and we both stare into the distance.
"Oh Holly, everything is going to be okay. Thomas kissed you, not the other way around so you have nothing to worry about. Also, don't worry about Thomas, he'll come around eventually you just need to give him some time." He looks at me and I turn to meet his gaze.
"Thanks, Newtie, I feel a lot better now," I pat his back and start to stand up, "Well I came over here to help out so what can I do in this garden." Newt laughs and passes me a bucket, "You can go and fetch the fertiliser, it's just in the woods." I look at him disgusted, "Hey, you asked what you could do." I stick my middle finger up at him before walking into the woods, I walk until I notice a gravestone. I walk over to it and crouch down to read the inscription: 'Jack'. I wonder who that is, nobody has mentioned him before. I stand straight up when I hear a twig snap.
"Who's there?" I look around but see nothing there. All of a sudden, I'm being pushed down onto the ground. I land harshly on my back and see that it was Ben that pushed me. "Ha ha Ben, really funny, push the greenie into the mud." I wait for Ben to respond but all I get in response is a growl and I see that there is black stuff coming out of his mouth. His veins are turning black and I know that I have to get out of there. I scramble backwards and manage to push myself up and run in the direction of the gardens shouting for help. I stupidly look back to see Ben coming after me and I trip over a tree root. I land face forward in the mud and feel myself being turned over. Ben's face is inches away from mine, I scream for help and grab a nearby stick and thrust it towards him. He snarls as I feel it impale his stomach, he grabs my neck and starts to squeeze. I keep trying to get him off and whimper for help, but back spots start to cloud my vision. The last thing I see is Ben being knocked off of me and a familiar face shaking my shoulders and calling my name before I fall into darkness.
I jolt awake and look around to see that I am in the medjack's hut. I notice that Gally is fast asleep on the floor next to me, his fingers still intertwined with mine. I smile, lean over the bed and kiss his head. He starts to stir and his face fills with happiness when he sees that I'm awake. He quickly stands up and looks at me. He comes closer and trails his fingers on my neck.
"Oh my god Holly, look at those bruises. I can't believe he did that to you." I see the sadness in his eyes. I place my hand on top of his and drag his hand onto my cheek instead. With my other hand, I take hold of his shirt and pull him towards me, connecting our lips and we sink into the kiss. His hands start to roam down my body, brushing my sides and leaves his hand on my waist. After a couple of minutes of heated kissing, Jeff enters the room and we break apart suddenly.
"Glad to see you are feeling better Holly." I look over to him and blush with embarrassment. Gally squeezes my hand and leaves the hut.
"How long was I out Jeff?"
"You were out for a couple of days. And before you ask not much has happened in the glade."
"Oh wow. Do you know who saved me from Ben, I could see their face, but I couldn't place who it was." Jeff walks over and sits at the bottom of my bed.
"It was Gally. He heard you when he was in the slammer and was so scared for you that he managed to break out of the slammer and ran towards you like he was being chased by a thousand grievers. He was screaming for help and loads of the boys followed him. After he found you, he wouldn't let you go. Jeff and Clint practically had to drag him off of you. He hasn't left your side for days."
"Wow, I can't believe he did all of that just for me. Hey Jeff, when can I leave? I feel fine."
"You can leave now if you want. Be gentle with yourself and come back whenever you need,"
"Thanks Jeff, for looking after me and telling me what happened."
"No problem Holly, anytime" I got up out of the bed and left the medjack's to see Gally waiting outside for me. I walk over to him and give him a huge hug.
"Thanks Gally."
"For what Bambi?"
"Loving me unconditionally." I step back and kiss him, feeling the fireworks exploding once again.

Poor Holly, I found this chapter quite hard to write but I'm really proud of it also how cute is Gally?! He is such a sweetheart <3
