Marinettes pov
I lifted my hand and reached it towards his, interlocking my hand with his. For a second, his hand softly held mine back. I felt my heart race. I stopped crying and smiled softly. "Oh my god, Adrien! Can you hear me? If you can hear me, do your best to show me some how. Like move your finger or something. If you can't then I'll probably talk anyways.. but it would be a huge relief" I exclaimed happily. I waited a minute or so, before his finger twitched slightly once, then twice. I giggled softly and sighed happily.
"Thank you. I'm relieved to know you're still with me." I said happily, but I jinxed it. I spoke too soon. His heart rate monitor went to a clear line and a long beep. I felt my heart sink. I screamed loudly as I began to cry again. I stood up and started trying to give him CPR when Alya and a doctor busted in. "What's going on?!" The doctor yelled. "Nonononono!! He's dead!!!" I yelled as I began cursing under my breath. Tears fell done onto his hospital gown as four other doctors rushed in the room, aswell as Alya did. Alya grabbed me and began pulling me away as I started squirming, trying to get out of her grip. Once we were out, she shoved me down in a chair and locked her arms around me as she began shushing me. "Sshh... It's going to be okay. Hes going to make it. He's going to be okay. Don't worry. It's okay." She said softly as she moved my hair out if my face.
I no longer cared about anything. I didn't care if I was crying loudly and screaming no. I didn't care about the world. All I acted about was him. The boy I had loved for so long had slipped out of my grip, and now he's dead. "He's dead, Alya" I said through loud sobs. "No he's not. He's going to be okay. Do you want to leave? Do you want to go home? I can stay over if you want" Alya asked. I looked in the window and pressed my hand against it. The blinds were closed, preventing me from seeing him. I slowly nodded as I continued crying. "okay, let's go. Let's go home." Alya said while helping me up and wrapping her arm over my shoulder.
The walk home was terrible. Every time I saw a sign of him I'd start crying more and almost end up breaking down on the side walk. My phone began ringing half way home, so we stopped. I picked it up to see it was the hospital and my heart sank.
"Hello...?" I asked softly through some sobs.
"Hi this is ______ hospital, is this Marinette Dupain-Cheng?"
"Yes, yes this is her."
"Great! We've got some updates on Adrien, would you like them?"
I hesitated for a minute before saying yes.
"He passed away for about 5 minutes, but the doctors were able to get him alive again through CPR. They ran some tests and saw he was doing perfectly fine after, and he should be awake in two weeks."
I let out a breath that I didn't know I was holding. "That's amazing. Thank you so much"
"You're very welcome. Have a nice evening"
"You too ma'am." I said before hanging up the phone.
"He should he awake in two weeks" I said to Alya. Her face lit up and she smiled widely. "That's amazing news! I told you he'd be okay!!" Alya said as we began continuing to walk home. I was no longer crying, and when I saw a poster of Adrien again if smile. Two weeks. That's all I have to wait. Two more weeks.
We reached my house shortly after, and I let my parents know the amazing news. They were super happy about it, then dismissed Alya and I to my room. We updated Nino on what was happening, then decided to watch some movies to get our minds off of things. We watched a comedy movie, because whats better then that? We ate some dinner then deserts, played some games, and talked. Once our fun time ended, we decide dto go to sleep. Alya had decide dto sleep next to me in bed incase I started crying in my sleep again. We changed into our pajamas, she wore a basic tank and shorts and I wore Adrien's hoodie and some basic sweat pants. We headed up to my bed, then crashed out quickly.
Where am I..? I thought as I fluttered my eyes open and began scanning the room around me. Am I in the hospital? I turned my gaze infront of me where I saw my boyfriend, still in a coma. I sighed heavily seeing he wasn't awake yet. He groaned slightly and his eyes slowly fluttered open as he began sitting up. "Where am I?" Adrien mumbled softly as he turned his gaze towards me and cocked an eyebrow. "Thank god you're awake! I've missed you so much!!" I exclaimed as I hugged him tightly. He seemed a bit uncomfortable so I backed away and smiled at him brightly with a year streaming down my face from happiness. "I'm sorry but.. may I ask who you are?" Adrien asked. I froze. "Adrien that's not funny.. don't.. don't joke like that.." I mumbled. He gave me a confused look and nervously laughed. "I'm sorry, but I really don't remember you.. and who am I? Where am I? What happened to me?" He asked nervously. I began crying heavily. "you should ask the doctors. I'll be on my way." I said getting up and running out of the room crying.
