Kousei POV:
Time seemed to have passed so quickly, most of all, my friends in Japan can't easily meet me anymore since my father had placed too much security around me because of what had occurred to me in the past. They may be my friends but whoever meets me outside family needed to have approval from my father or the security team he placed around me as there's always a possibility that the allies of White Flag Syndicate could hunt me down as vengeance for what the Interpol did to that syndicate.
It had been a long time but now, I know that I'm old enough to create my own family. I continuously pondered over how I would propose to Kaori. I was very much hurt that she suddenly left when I had asked my father for a blessing but I hoped that by going on one knee, she would smile and agree to marry me. I'm an earl and I knew that by marriage, she would become a countess.
Kaori may not be ready yet to be a member of British Nobility but I will do everything I can to help her adapt. I hoped she would agree to marry me after I give her the diamond ring that I bought for her as I want to ask her hand in marriage.
I chose to do it in the huge hall of the Buckingham Palace since there will be very few who could be inside this building and I'd be able to give her privacy. If I propose to her in front of many people, she might feel bad about it and I don't want her to feel awkward as I want to hear her honest answer. She may feel pressured if I ask her to marry me around our friends about it as I realized that she's not one who would like doing things too grand and special. She's a simple young woman and I believe, it impressed me more as a man.
By the time she was already inside Buckingham Palace, I already asked my grandfather about my plans but I was advised by him that I must be totally sure about her as getting divorce was something none totally wanted since as he said, I may have Japanese blood through my mother but I'm still a British Noble.
Kaori sighed after she had entered the huge halls of Buckingham Palace. Also, I became aware that sh
e couldn't stop staring at the huge, old paintings, armors, red curtains embroidered with gold around the windows of the palace, and there were just too many servants who bow their heads to her. She just arrived in the palace through a vintage car that I sent for her and it looked like, it was a shock to her that it would bring her to the most respected palace in the heart of London.Kaori had always been a beautiful crystal to me. Her gray eyes, and her blue silk dress does fit her so much. She's wearing pearl earrings and also, a thin watch on her right wrist. As she stepped closer to me, I'm sure she may have noticed that I'm wearing a black, formal royal suit. She carefully studied my eyes until we're both staring and gazing at each other but at the time our eyes met, she chuckled. "Why are we here, Kousei?"
"You don't have to think too much." I began to reveal the diamond ring that I bought for her. "I'm sorry if it surprised you when I asked my dad for his blessing without telling you."
