Have you ever felt betrayed by your own mother?!

Cuz that's how I am feeling right now when she completely forgot about her beautiful, talented, amazing not to forget marvelous daughter and is fussing over her arrogant, cocky, serious not to forget handsome son-in-law.

Well, let me rewind! My husband came to my home to take me back after the ritual and Mamma made all his favorites after asking Akshara Ma and now cannot seem to stop fussing over him.

She is like 'beta you look so thin since the last time I saw you!', 'beta this is your favorite right! Eat', 'beta you barely ate eat some more.

I mean I must give it to Advaith because he is patiently eating whatever my mother is feeding him and not even showing any discomfort or awkwardness. He is very jovial and nice with Mamma and Papa and even Bhai and my besties. It warms my heart that he gives regard to my family and treats them well. It makes me respect him. I always wanted my husband to respect my family and treat them as his own.

We both barely had time to even converse, not that we would converse for long or something but even hi's are not given properly before my mother started with her fussing giving me a slight headache.

"Ma I am full I won't be able to eat anymore really" he said when my mother was about to serve him some more of her famous tiramisu.

My mother complied this one time and left him. God! Bless my husband's soul for putting up with an extraordinary mother!

After lunch, we both bid our byes and left for Advaith's place.

The car ride was silent mostly but suddenly Advaith cleared his throat.

"How have you....been?" He asked slowly and I turned to him stunned as this is one of the few times after our wedding night he initiated a conversation.

"I...I have been good! You?" I asked with a huge smile on my face at the fact he is trying!

"Good" he nodded and for a few minutes, none of us talked anymore.

"When will you start work?" Okay now, something is completely wrong with my husband.

"Um...I am thinking in five days or something. I have been working from home a little so I don't have some huge amounts of work too" I said shrugging my shoulders. He nodded and kept quiet.

Since he tried starting the conversation this time I continued...

"How is work? Are you taking a lot of stress? Because your face looks tired" I asked and he looked at me stunned with surprise clearly shown on his face.
