•Chapter- 17•

"Mam, may I come in?" Ritu my assistant whom I have gotten recently after getting promoted asked me peeking her head into the door. I laugh and say come in.

"Good morning Mam, here are the files you have asked me for and the plans you have sketched. I already talked to Siya Mam and she is very impressed with the sketchings she said you have to come to her cabin sometime around this afternoon or before you leave. And Mr. Raizada group are asking for some new sketchings for their resort as they think this doesn't abide by their teams"

I listen to her patiently and frown at the last part. Hmm......Raizada groups are particular with their interiors and these were my best shots. Despite that them not liking it means either there is a problem with the communication of the sketchings or a problem with communication of us itself.

"What do you think?!" I ask Ritu to examine the drawings I sent Raizada for reference and finalize.

Ritu looked at me astonished for a second there and composed herself.

"Mam?!" She asked in confusion again and I looked at her. Ritu is a very talented individual when it comes to this profession. She is passionate about this job. And according to my, that's the most important trait to do something. You need to have the zeal to cope up with the work and produce solutions that are gonna build up to something for the other person and Ritu has that potential. When Siya Mam made her join in as my assistant I was surprised as I am still learning a lot and the only thing she told me was "I know how well you teach or just basically explain stuff to others and Ritu is a candidate I saw potential in as I did to you. I trained you now you train your own" is what she said.

And honestly, I see what she means and so I started training Ritu for a month. I might now have the experience yet but I have knowledge that I do and can pass down to others.

"I repeat what do you think of the Raizada's not liking our designs?" I repeated patiently and leaned back in my seat waiting for her to answer.

"That.....I.....I....think....." She fumbled and after seeing how serious am looking she sighed and this time with a certain edge she said
"I think.....maybe the Raizada's have a certain taste or prejudice towards certain designs or ideas and haven't discussed these just to see our ideas. But since their new theme and our designs match quite well this is where we put in a meeting and tell them everything detailedly about the concept and why we made it this way and depending on their response we take it from there..." She said trailing off and I gave her a huge smile clapping for her cheerfully. She blushed and thanked me.

"You are correct! This is the stage at work we learn client management more accurately! Very well done Ritu I am proud of you! Tomorrow or the day after depending on when they will be free and we will be free to book a meeting and make sure it's early because we have to get done with the designs soon and start the work okay?" I said with a smile and she nodded turning around to go. 

After working with some more designs I checked the time to see it was 12:57 and is lunchtime.

I thought of taking my lunch and going to Siya Mam to talk to her but before that, I sent a quick text to my husband asking him about his meeting and proceeded for lunch.

Oh with all the office work I forgot to tell you all about the both of us!

Well! It's been a week since he brought me over from my parent's place.......A week since I kissed him on the cheek and he did to me. Well let's say Zeesh and Ayesh gave quite a dry reaction when I told them saying that I should have a proper kiss and get a proper life to which I gave them the 'finger'

I mean! Meh! Who cares at least we made a progress! And indeed we did. Not much maybe but a little.

Advaith started talking to me......much better now than before. We talk about our days with each other and conversations started flowing easily in between us. He hesitates to speak sometimes but I give him his time and he speaks a little comfortably which makes me happy. We even text each other sometimes often! Also, I have gotten very close to my in-laws especially to my sis-in-law Deeva. I treat her as my little sister. Every day I talk to her and it's like now if I don't talk to her my day doesn't get on with that dose of Deeva. Wow! That sounded cool right??

Well, Advaith went to a meeting in Lahore today. It was an emergency meeting so he had to go very suddenly. One new thing I learned today was that my husband doesn't know how to pack his bag properly! Ma packs his bag every time he goes out of the country or to some other place.

And today morning he came to me and he asked me and trust me it was so cute when he was scratching the back of his neck and nervously asked me. Of course, he wouldn't show his nervousness being the cocky hunk he is but yeah his voice did sound uncertain.

I packed his bag for him and before going he didn't say anything except he kissed my cheek and forehead too and that was enough to put a huge smile on my face.

A small kiss from your loved........well for now dear one is enough to light your day tremendously. And let's just say all of my colleagues can also see my extra happiness.

After completing my work and talking to Siya Mam I proceeded to go home thinking of making a nice meal for dinner today. Advaith did say he will be home by dinner when he texted me this afternoon so I guess we can have a nice dinner night today with our family!

Except for there is a little surprise!.........

Hello lovely people! I hope you all are doing well! This chapter is to give a small insight into Madira's work life and how she is as a boss! Madira is a nice boss right!? Much less evil than Advaith and trust me you are gonna see how scary he can be in an upcoming chapter though! And Awww! They both are getting closer! I am so happy! (wiping happy tears!)

So guys it turns out I am COVID positive and I started on my medications two days ago itself because of the symptoms I have been showing. I feel much better today though  fatigue is there. Thank you everyone for the concern and love you all showed! It means so much!

I didn't want to keep gaps in between the updates! I know how much you all love getting frequent updates. So I decided every day I would update one chapter for sure at any time! And if my energy comes up I might give a double update! Don't worry I will try my best to update!
