"Talk to me."

Aria shook her head again, rolling her eyes.

This man had an unhealthy obsession with making her talk.

She thought that she made it clear enough that she would not talk to Ganondorf at all, after two days of him staying here. Every single day she met Ganondorf. Every single day he tried everything in his power to tempt her into talking.

"Come on." He persisted, his hands on his hips. "I'm not gonna give up."

Neither am I. She glared at him and pressed her lips resolutely together.

She had let go of her childish trust of everyone years ago. Keeping herself safe.

And there was no way she would talk to a... a... never mind. She cringed inwards, while still wearing her hard facial expression.

Ganondorf sighed and rubbed his temples. This kid was so stubborn. He rather liked that, though, in some way.

He knew that he was spending too much time trying to crack her code, but this was important. He could feel it. And Aria's silence was not making this any easier.

Instinctively he looked around his shoulders. He was alone. Or so it appeared. Ganondorf narrowed his eyes, casting out his senses to feel for human presence.

A small smile curled up his lips.

About three soldiers were hiding behind the silk curtains, and he could feel their movements, trying their best not to let him notice them.

Looks like Hylians were rather fond of stalking, weren't they?

So he pointedly ignored them and, in one swift motion, picked Aria up and slung her over his shoulder like she was a pack of potatoes.

She yelled in shock and punched every part of him she could reach, reaching for her knives, but he pinned her arms back and sauntered up two flights of stairs with no problem and plopped her down in front of Zelda's study door.

Aria threw him the dirtiest glance she could muster. Ganondorf snickered softly and motioned for her to knock.

She glared at him some more.

Ganondorf sighed in playful irritation and knocked on the door himself.

Zelda was rubbing her eyes as she answered, then, realizing who it was, looked startled and stared at him with those wide, brown eyes.

"Why, hello." Ganondorf said calmly, pushing down mixed amusement and mischief.

"Ganondorf?" She arched an eyebrow, the teacup in her hand steaming. "What are you doing here?"

He pulled Aria closer. She pushed his hand off her arm and kept right on glaring at him.

"She doesn't talk to me." He complained. "And it's annoying."

Zelda fought the urge to roll her eyes. "She's selectively mute, Ganondorf. You know that."

Ganondorf spread his hands. "She talks to you, and everyone knows I'm more charming than you are."

"Oh my goddesses." Her free hand pinched the top of her nose. "Cut that, please."

He just grinned.

"You'd better come in. But if she doesn't want to talk, then I'm not making her talk." Zelda slung an arm around Aria and they entered her room, much to the dismay of the three soldiers trying to keep an eye on Ganondorf. He glanced back at them and threw them a devilish smile.

"So." Zelda spun on her office chair so that she was facing both Aria, cross-legged on the floor, and Ganondorf, leaning against the wall. "What's the problem here?"
