A/N: This chapter is dark. Trigger warning will be in place for most of this chapter, and there will be no super descriptive scenes, but horrible concepts. So yea! Fun~~

With completion so close at hand, Aria impatiently pushed away the whispers of the forest and set her sights straight, her steps flying over the soft soil.

So close. If she could survive Wisdom and Power, she could survive Courage.

She pressed towards the light, her heart racing along with her feet.

And she burst into the clearing, looking for the pedestal and rushing over to examine it, her eyes glimmering.

Trial after trial you have defeated,

The final one, three shall be completed.

However many enemies you have vanquished,

Bring out the one who that have truly languished.

Take hold of the sacred blade and feel the pain,

The choice is yours, rise or from your own hands be slain.

The pedestal shuddered, then suddenly crumpled to pieces, which melted back into the soil. From it, the very Master Sword slowly arose, pristine, glowing, wickedly sharp.

     Aria's breath caught.

It was calling her. They were tied together by the string of fate.

Her hands reached out for it, even without conscious decision.

Her fingers wrapped around the leather hilt. Aria's eyes were lit by its clean, blue light, dancing, reflected in her clear gold.

     And she pulled.

The moment it was free from the ground, a tendril of mist enfolded Aria's eyes and even before she could scream, she was gone, gone, gone, the Sword clutched tightly in her fist, speeding away, engulfed in darkness.

She was placed in a vast expanse of nothingness, looking around with panic running through her veins. The Sword was the only thing there with her, her only companion.

So she had to keep her sanity, trapped in absolutely nothing?

Even as the thought crossed her mind, a world started building itself around her, and suddenly Aria found herself in a house, her form strangely insubstantial, squinting from the sudden onslaught of light.

But her eyes adjusted all too quickly and only one glance was all it took for Aria to recognize this place.

     She froze.

     No. No!

She started turning, desperately looking for an exit, anything to take her out of this place, anything. And even as she did, a cold part of her mind already knew the only way out.

From your own hands be slain.

She looked down at the Master Sword, innocently sitting in her grasp.

The dingy, peeling wallpaper. The flickering lights. The smell hanging around the house like a parasite.

Her mind oddly detached from her body, she drifted closer, hearing but not listening to the shouting ringing around the room.

And found herself face to face with an infant with golden eyes.

Her breath caught, and she waited, terrified, for herself to see her.
