Sakuto was following close behind Mirai and her friends. He didn't think of them as friends, and he knew it was the other way around too. In fact, Mirai was the only person he'd consider close to him, and in all honesty, he didn't mind. If it was for him he would mind his own business, but Mirai was always pulling him and making him be with her and her friends because he needed to 'socialize more'. He let go of a sigh, hands shoved deep into his pockets, as he followed them and the rest of the class that was currently going toward the taijutsu training grounds.

"Okay class, today we will do one-on-one sparring," the sensei said, earning annoying growls from the kids. Sakuto let go of a sigh through his mask as well "Before we start, Sakuto," the sensei called the white-haired kid, making him look up at him with his bored eyes. The eyes of the other kids flickering between the sensei and the silverette "I think you are ready to take the genin exam, so I'd like to talk to your parents about it" he mentioned with a cheery smile, nothing like the ones from Sakuto's classmates who mostly looked at him with spite and scoffs.

He could even hear some of them talking to their friends while commenting about how unfair it was. He shrugged it off though, he was used to it after all. Sakuto was the youngest in his class by far. He was only 8, and most of their classmates were between 10 and 12, there was even a guy that was 14. And one time he overheard a group of his class complaining about how the senseis favored him because he was the Hokage's son and because he was a 'prodigy'. He didn't blame them for thinking like that because it was true that the word was used a lot when adults referred to him. He was also tired of being called like that, of being compared to his father. Don't get him wrong, he loved that people complimented him and his skills and that people told him he took on after his father who was also called a prodigy at his age. But it also set expectations that he had the need to fulfill and thus put him under stress.

"Having said that," the teacher talked again after Sakuto nodded, and although some of the kids had stopped paying attention to the silver-haired, some of them were only angered further by Sakuto's lack of reaction "you should take the most of today's class as it could be your last one with your classmates" he added with a smile "Tekuru, Kyoda, you go first" he called the first pair.

"Woaah Saku that's so cool!" an enthusiastic whispering voice sounded behind Sakuto, accompanied by a hand laying on his shoulder. He looked there and found his red-eyed best friend "You're going to be with a team and doing missions already" she said, walking to his side.

"I would need to pass the exam first, idiot" Sakuto said, crossing his arms, but Mirai smiled.

"You were the first one to do the techniques asked in the exam, idiot" Mirai answered back. Sakuto looked at her and both of them chuckled lightly "Don't get too cocky though, I will be a genin soon too and surpass you" she said, challenging him and making Sakuto smirk under his mask.

"We'll see about that..." Sakuto mumbled, uncrossing his arms to shove his hands back into his pockets "If only other people saw it like you..." Mirai's hand went back to Sakuto's shoulder, giving it a gentle squeeze.

"They're just jealous, and you know that," she said with her bright smile "If they knew you like I do you would be friends with the whole class"

"Bold of you to assume I want to be friends with any of them" Sakuto retorted, looking away and making Mirai roll her eyes.

"Well done, Tekuru. Next up will be Sakuto and..." the sensei talked, making everyone silent in expectation "Noda" he called up, and a hesitant boy stepped forward.

He had brown and curly hair, and his cheeks were freckled as if someone had splattered paint on them with a brush. His green eyes looked to the floor, hesitant. Sakuto looked at Noda and let go of a sigh.
