Chapter 38

JSDFKJAJDFAK I can't with the comments I got in the last chapter's ending note lol

It's true the original ending I thought of was Kakashi dying in the most angsty situation. But I refuse to get this man a bad ending. Not in this fanfic at least so you shall not worry about it (I have at least 4 other ideas for the future that might or might not have bad endings —oops)

Also, the picture is how Sakuto would look like but with your eye color.

"So dad told me you had your first fight today?" (Y/n) asked Sakuto while she made his favorite meal.

Sakuto rubbed his nose and nodded as he kicked his dangling legs from the chair.

"Yes I did, and I won" he smiled brightly, proud of himself.

"Really? Who were you paired up with?" she kept asking her son.

"A boy called Taiju. He's too careless! He did everything dad told me not to!" he answered.

(Y/n) took a look at him and smiled with a mix of feelings. She was proud of her son. His sensei told them that he showed a lot of potential, following his dad's steps. Kakashi said that he'd probably become a genin sooner than the rest if he kept up the pace. It made (Y/n) so proud of her little boy. But it also made her feel a little sad because he was growing up so fast... To her, it felt as if it had been last month she was holding a 1-year-old Sakuto that couldn't even live without her and Kakashi. And now he was 5 years old already... Though he still looked small, as she could see from the way his arms leaned on the table, almost higher than his face because he didn't reach the table level completely yet.

"Sakuto, what's the mask rule at home?" she said, seeing that the boy was still wearing his new mask that he had been pestering his mom to buy. One like Kakashi's but that fit his smaller face.

"Sorry mom" he said, taking it off.

"So how did you beat that Taiju guy? C'mon tell me what techniques you used" (Y/n) said excitedly so that he would keep explaining his day with enthusiasm.

Sakuto smiled happy to hear his mom's interest and he began explaining everything. And I mean everything, from what this Taiju kid who was two years older than him was wearing, to the other pairs the sensei of the class did.

"And and" Sakuto stumbled from how excited he was to explain what he has done, almost getting short of breath "And he tried to punch my stomach but I-I flipped him like you taught me, and" he said with his little arms extended over his little silver head.

He kept explaining so animated that he barely realized when his dad sat down at the table with him. Kakashi had already praised him and told him what things he could improve in the fight that they recreated once Sakuto was out of the academy. Now Sakuto wanted to be praised by his mom too, so his dad just fell into a background prop. Not that he cared, of course, he was reading like usual.

"Mommyyy" he said once he finished explaining what happened and (Y/n) complimented him "I'm hungryy" he said as the enticing smell of dinner filled the house.

(Y/n) picked a bit of the food she was cooking with chopsticks and blew some air to it so it wouldn't be too hot. Then she fed Sakuto who reached his little hands to his chubby cheeks in bliss from how delightful it was.

"Mhh so good mommy!" He praised his mom's cooking. (Y/n) smiled and turned around to keep on cooking and to pick another bite for Sakuto. However, when she turned around it was two mouths open she found to feed. Both father and son in the same position with their mouths open for (Y/n) to feed them. She smiled and gave each a bite and a kiss. Making the father and son smile in satisfaction with the same expression, as like as two peas.
