The next morning was the same as every other for Veer. He woke up with a slight headache and all the memories from last night came to him. He finally remembered how Vikram supported him so he wanted to go speak with him.
Veer got dressed in his suit and walked to Vikram's room. He knocked twice and waited.
Vikram slowly opened the door.
Vikram (yawning): "Oh bro, aap?"
(Oh bro, you're here?)
Veer walked into the room, a little grumpy.
Veer: "Vikram aap iss kamre ki kya halat kare ho? Aur aap abhi tak uthe bhi nhi? Aap bare ho gaye ho, aap par zimedari aane wali hai, aapko yeh sab yaad hai na?"
(Vikram, what have you done to this room? And you haven't even woken up yet? You are growing up, you will be getting so many responsibilities, you remember right?)
Vikram: "Arey, bro. Relax karo. Yeh sab chodo. Mujhe batao, aap yahaan kis bare meh baat karne ke liye aaye the?"
(Hey bro. Relax a bit. Leave this alone. Tell me, why did you come to talk to me?)
Veer stammered a bit. He had gotten so rude that it would seem very strange to say thank you right away.
Or maybe it is just that Veer is too arrogant and doesn't always feel comfortable appreciating things. He likes doing things on his own and he loves being formal, responsible and flawless.
Veer: "Oh, woh, woh....main bhool gaya hoon. Mein badme aapko bata dongha."
(Uh, it was, it was...I guess I forgot. I'll come and tell you later when I remember.)
Veer started walking away when Vikram stopped him.
Vikram: "Nahi, nahi, nahi. Aapko toh sab yaad hai. Khali bhol na nahi hai, toh fir aap khabhi bhi nahi aayenga mujhe bhol ne ke liye. Hain na?"
(No, no, no. You remember everything. You just don't want to say it, so then you will never come back to tell me. Right?)
Veer turned back to Vikram, a little ashamed.
Veer: "Aap yeh kya bol re ho? Mujhe sach me nahi yaad hai. Woh kal rat ko kuch hua kya? Mera sar bahot dukh raha tha."
(What are you saying? I seriously don't remember. Did something happen last night? My head has been hurting a lot.)
Vikram: "Aap kal raat bahot thak gaye the, toh maine aapko upar laya aur phir aap so gaye. Uske baad mujhe kuch pata nahi hai. Lekin, aapko mujse kuch khaina tha?"
(You were very exhausted last night, so I brought you upstairs and then you fell asleep. After that, I don't know anything. But, did you want to say something to me?)
Veer: "Uh, woh, kal raat ke liye thank you. Aapne mera dhyan rakha. Mujhe bahot acha laga."
(Um, for last night, thank you. You took care of me. I appreciated it.)
Vikram: "Arey bro. Iska kya thanks? Main toh aapke bhai hoon. Yeh mera farz hai, aur mein nibhara tha. Abhi mein yeh room saf kar dalta hoon. Neche milte hai."
(Oh bro. Don't say thanks for this. I am your brother. This is my responsibility and I was just taking action for this responsibility. Now, I will quickly clean up my room. We'll meet downstairs.)
Veer: "Theek hai, milte hai."
(Ok, we'll meet downstairs.)
