■ 05: are you okay? ■

───── Ki Chul's POV ─────

"Stay back!"

"Please don't..."

"No!!!"

"Yah Kim Ki Chul!"

I suddenly wake up from another nightmare. But this time, it was a bit different. As I open my eyes and catch my breath, I am met by a solid white ceiling . I'm guess I'm in a clinic since I can smell alcohol lingering in the air.

'Why am I here? What happened?'

"Are you okay?" I heard someone say. I look to my left to see Beomgyu sitting on a chair.

'Wait...Beomgyu???'

I gasp as I sit up, which made him surprised as well.

"Gosh, you're gonna give me a heart attack again" he said while clutching onto his chest.

'Again???'

"W-what are you doing here?" I asked

"Well, that's not how you say 'thank you' to someone who saved you"

"Saved me?"

"Yeah, you were being bullied by Dan and his gang. Me and Taehyun saved you" he said while I look back at myself, trying to remember what happened.

"Right. I was pinned to a wall, then my vision started blurring and my head started aching, too. Next thing I know, two other boys approached me to ask if I was okay.... That was you and Taehyun???"

He nodded his head and hummed in response, which made me slowly bring my knees closer to me and cover my face with my hands.

'Ryujin's gonna kill me'

"Are you okay?" he asked for the nth time today.

I slowly lifted my head and faced him again. "Yes. I'm perfectly fine" I sarcastically said, but he just decided to shrug it off.

"Anyway, how did you end up in that situation?" he asked.

"Oh... uhm... they were picking on me, then I... I accidentally punched one of them; the leader I guess"

It was silence for a while with me flushing in embarrassment. That is until Beomgyu slowly started laughing like a maniac.

"What's so funny?"

"You... Dan? You punched Dan? Pft-" he said in between his laughs.

"Yeah yeah. I know, its terrible and embarrassing"

"What? No, its great. No student has punched Dan before. And the fact that it was a girl? Gosh, he must be so embarrassed right now". He continued laughing while I thought of a different topic to talk about.

"What time is it anyways?" I asked, and he finally  calmed down.

He glanced at his watch, then said, "Its 1:20".

I widened my eyes. "What?! I slept for that long? And why aren't you in class???"

"Relax. I asked Mr. Hwang permission to look after you."

"Why look after me?"

"Because I was worried"

'He was... worried?'

I cleared my throat before getting off the bed. "Come on, let's go back to class".

"Wait. Shouldn't you rest first?"

"I'm better now. Come on, before we miss more of the lesson". And before he could react more, I was already out the door.

I actually could care less about the lesson, but...

my heart is beating at 185632947bpm that I just had to get out of that room.

'Why am I like this?'
