"Ki Chul?"
Ki Chul turned around to see Beomgyu by the door. "Oh, hi Beomgyu".
It was the next day. Coincidentally, Beomgyu found Ki Chul at the school's rooftop at lunch time.
"What are you doing here?" he asked.
"Just need some fresh air. You?"
"Same". There was a comfortable silence between them which made them relaxed for a while.
"About yesterday" Ki Chul broke the silence. "Can I ask some things?"
"Ask away. There's nothing I should hide from you now" Beomgyu said while smiling with reassurance.
Ki Chul took a big breath, hesitating a bit to say. "Why... is your company looking for me?"
"Actually, no employee there knows the real reason behind it. Only our parents do. All I know is that Taehyun's parents proposed, initiated, and was in-charge of it for some reason."
"But why for 2 years? With your tech, you could've found me in seconds."
Beomgyu let out an airy laugh. "You're right, but I also don't know why. Also, I think it was last year that they started losing focus on that operation. I'm really clueless when it comes to that topic, I'm sorry".
Ki Chul slowly nodded, not fully satisfied with his answer. It did not go unnoticed by Beomgyu, though.
"Don't worry, Ki Chul. Soobin-hyung didn't report that we found you. We're friends now, and we will keep you safe. We will not turn you in if its not in your favor, and if we haven't found the real reason why they are looking for you". Beomgyu smiled at her, and Ki Chul returned the gesture.
"Right, we're friends now. That means that I have to keep you secret, right? Even from Ryujin and the others?"
"Oh... yeah..."
"Is there anything wrong?"
"Not really. I just forgot that you're friends with Ryujin's group"
