■ 35: friends? ■

───── No One's POV ─────

Soobin steps out onto the porch, placing his arms on the railings, and letting out a tired sigh. He called in for a break after hours of thinking and planning, half for them and half for himself as well. It was no doubt that his head was aching. It was morning, and all of them barely got enough sleep.

He looks up into the clear blue sky, and let the cool breeze calm him down at least a little bit. But soon enough, his head was filled again with numerous ways their situation could lead to. 

Suddenly, he felt a pair of arms wrapping around his waist, making him relaxed as he knows who is hugging him from behind. "Junnie...."

"Talk to me, baby" Yeonjun said as he rests his face on Soobin's shoulder.

Soobin lets out a sigh. "I don't know what to say, hyung"

Yeonjun thought for a while whilst humming. "How are you feeling?" he asks as he peaks over Soobin's shoulder to look at his boyfriend's face.

"You wouldn't believe me if I said that I'm fine, would you?" They both chuckled as Yeonjun shook is head. "Honestly speaking, I'm worried and scared. What if our plan fails? What if we can't save them both? I... I can't lose another friend, hyung. I can't lose either one of them this way. I can't lose to Kang-Dae again. I-"

Soobin was cut off with Yeonjun pecking his lips. "The more you worry, the more the plan won't work, chief" Yeonjun teased before moving in front of his boyfriend. He held is hands and smiled softly. "We'll go through this together, Binnie. No matter what, we will get them back. For now, you need to have some faith and trust both in this team we have and in yourself, okay?"

Soobin let out a big breath as if it would take away all his worries, which actually made him feel relaxed. "Okay"

"Good" Yeonjun leaned forward, about to kiss him, when-

"Uhm... I hope I'm not interrupting anything"

They turned towards the door where Lia is standing awkwardly. The two males quickly stepped away from each other and avoided each other's gaze.

Yeonjun then stepped forward towards her. "Do you... need anything?" he asked softly.

"Oh, I..." She cleared her throat before stepping into the porch, leaving the door open. "I just... wanted to say thank you to the both of you and your team... for bringing us here. If you didn't call, we wouldn't know what happened to Yuna and Ki Chul. And if something terrible happens to them...."
