After OWL's everyone was looking forward to the end of the year party. Slytherin made the best parties at Hogwarts, although other houses may disagree.
Draco liked being in charge of the parties. He would bring in alcohol from his parents manor. His parents never knew when bottles were missing – they had so much of it and hardly used it.
"What are you wearing tonight?" Pansy asked Y/n as she looked inside her closet. "I'm not sure I have a cute short black spaghetti strap dress, maybe that." Y/n shrugged as she watched Pansy messily look into her closet. "Is this okay?" She asked taking out a forest green dress, she loved showing off her house colors. Y/n nodded as she laid on her bed.
"Any news with Draco?" Pansy asked seeing Y/n's change in attitude. "There is no news, we are best friends, nothing more," Y/n sighed. She loved Draco, he was everything to her – and vice versa. But none of them ever made a move, both were too scared to ruin anything.
"Maybe tonight will be different?" Pansy suggested trying to lighten up the mood, but Y/n knew better. Everything would always be the same and maybe it was for the best. She didn't want to lose Draco.

The common room was filled with many people, all from different houses. The music was so loud it was hard for Pansy and Y/n to listen to one another. Draco had casted a spell, basically sound proofing the Slytherin common room.
Y/n looked gorgeous, she always had a way of looking effortlessly beautiful.
She sipped on her butterbeer as she watched everyone dance and others take fire whiskey shots. She slightly laughed at those already messed up from drinking so much. She always wondered how Draco got his hands on his much alcohol, but she remembered that summer at Malfoy manor when everyone discovered his fathers small brewery. They were only 15 and probably the best night of their lives being able to drink unsupervised with no consequences.
"Liking the party?" Draco asked shaking her from her thoughts. She turned to him, "Your parties never disappoint," Draco smirked and nodded, almost as if he was proud of her statement. "Is that all you're drinking?" He signaled at her butterbeer and she shrugged, "I'm not trying to get fucked up." Draco rolled his eyes, "Nonsense c'mon let's get a proper drink!" He grabbed her hand pulling her towards all the booze. She looked down at their hands wishing that small gesture meant something more.
Draco poured himself and Y/n a shot handing it to her, "Alright drink up!" The hot liquid going down her throat burned slightly. She breathed out as she groaned from the taste. "Another one?" He asked Y/n and she shrugged, "Might as well it's a party right?" Draco smirked at her as they began to drink shot after shot.
Y/n eyes began to feel heavy, she was buzzed. "You're that drunk already?" Draco laughed making Y/n roll her eyes. "What, like you aren't?" Draco walked to her side placing his arm on her shoulder, "I can handle the alcohol, unlike you." His unsteady standing said otherwise.
Both of them were very different drunks. Y/n was a very laid back drunk. Usually liked to sit on a couch and just relax. But Draco, he was a different story. The first night they got drunk Y/n could not believe he was such a messy, yet flirty drunk. Very unlike him. At school he was very serious, but when he was drunk it was like this image he kept went away.
"Have I ever told you how much you mean to me?" He slurred as he placed his arm around Y/n. She sighed knowing how annoying drunk Draco could be, "Yes Draco you seem to always tell me only when you aren't sober." The small disappointment in her tone made Draco feel a bit of sympathy for her. She was absolutely right. She did everything for him, she was the greatest best friend he could have, yet he hardly showed appreciation for her.
"Hey don't be sad, you know how much I care and love you." He smiled at her making Y/n chuckle. "Merlin Draco you are a worse drunk than Pansy and that says a lot."
This was not true. Pansy Parkinson was probably one of the most annoying drunks in Hogwarts. Not that it was a bad thing per say. But when she got drunk everyone knew to have tissues by their side. She would cry over the amount of school work they had or if a minor inconvenience occurred. When Pansy was drunk her emotions took control over her.
"Let's dance Y/n! Let's enjoy my party!" He yelled over the music and Y/n sighed. "I don't care how drunk I am, I won't make a fool out of myself." Draco frowned, "If you cared about me you would dance with me," He reached his hand out to her and she rolled her eyes. "One. Dance."
Y/n could feel the music in her. The base from the speakers were so strong. They both held hands dancing around. Not caring if they received looks from anyone. It was like they were the only ones in the room. Draco and Y/n laughed as they danced foolishly. Draco pulled her close as they swayed back and worth. Y/n laughed as he spun her around almost tripping.
Y/n loved these moments with Draco. He did not care about maintaining a high-class persona. When they were drunk they were allowed to be free and truly be themselves. Even though they constantly made a fool out of themselves, they didn't care. Because in that moment all that mattered was this moment between Draco and Y/n.
