NOT FINISHED!

Y/n sat by Hermione as they talked with Harry and Ron. They were in potions class and luckily Professor Snape had yet to arrive, which was the only reason why Harry and Ron were turned around facing the girls.

"I heard from the other class that we're being paired up to do a project about a potion he's going to assign us." Harry talked to the group and they all groaned. "I hope he assigns us with the partner we're sitting with," Y/n sighed.

The doors opened and everyone turned around in a flash. Professor Snape barged through the doors beginning class as usual.

"I'm sure some of you have already heard we are going to do a project," Professor Snape began. "It is a project involving a partner," Many people smiled, "That I will assign to you." He finished and the room filled with groans. "The list is up on the board, find your name, get your supplies, and get to work." He finished.

The board flipped by itself and many people blocked Y/n's view. She watched as many people rolled their eyes and some cheered silently. As she reached the board she grew anxious and worried, all the people she knew already had partners. She skimmed finding her name, until she froze.

Y/n L/n & Draco Malfoy

It was like a bowling ball dropped in her stomach. The idea of having to be in the same room as Draco was already enough to ruin her day, but now sit next to each other and work together? Now that was just cruel.

Y/n looked back to Hermione, who had also seemed bad for her. Her feet dragged as she reached Draco's desk. It felt like ages as she pulled the chair and sat down.

But once Y/n sat down next to him, they both said nothing to each other. A part of Y/n wanted to start the assignment, but if she talked first she would lose. As if she was a 10 year old in this argument.

"Our potion is Calming Draught," Y/n finally spoke not wanting to fail. "She can read." Draco's snarky comment made Y/n regret ever sitting down to begin with.

Y/n sighed through her nose, "You can stop being a smart ass and just start the assignment, so we can finish and never speak to each other again." Draco shrugged like she didn't care.

They each got their textbooks and turned to the page of their assigned potion. Y/n set the book on the desk and began to read silently. Draco did not want to admit, but he would occasionally look over to see if Y/n had finished. A part of him always wanted to be first and win every single time.

After a couple seconds Y/n looked up, "Alright not that bad let's get started." Draco chuckled, "Not that bad? It's the easiest potion one can make." Great and it begins. Y/n's head already began to hurt from his snarky remarks. But she found a way that would be an advantage to her, "If it's so easy why don't you do it." Draco smirked, "Oh yeah like I'm going to do all the work and you get credit." Y/n rolled her eyes she was going to reply, but Draco had cut her off. "Let's make a bet."

Y/n looked at him and shrugged. "If I can do this potion perfectly by myself, you have to write my divination essay." Draco told her with a small smirk. Y/n thought about it for a second, this potion was not as easy as he made it seem and he was doing it all alone? "Alright, sure." She shrugged.

Draco already knew he was not going to do an essay for a class he dreaded. He grabbed everything needed for the potion. Within 30 minutes the potion was done, perfectly.

He smirked as Professor Snape gave him a nod. He looked over at Y/n, "It's due in 1 week. Make the essay exceptional."
