I was walking around instead of being in class, I didn't want to be near anyone at the moment and Hanabusa had started to realise that I was distancing myself from him and everyone else. I had also found it odd that Takuma had not returned and neither had Senri. I sat down at the fountain where Hanabusa and I usually talk.

"You're meant to be in class, Oka," I heard Yuki say.

I looked at her and smiled softly. "I don't really want to be around anyone at the moment."

"Are you okay?" Yuki asked, sitting down next to me.

I laughed slightly. "Of course, Yuki."

"Oka," Yuki said hesitantly and I looked at her, "Do you know anything about my past?"

I sighed and put my head down, allowing my blonde hair to fall down and cover my eyes. "Yuki, if I ever said a single word to you then Kaname would not hesitate in killing me."

I looked up and saw Yuki looking at me in shock. She wasn't expecting that answer. In her eyes, Kaname would only kill in order to protect the ones that he cared about.

I stood up. "I suggest that you ask Kaname yourself, Yuki. No one else is going to tell you, in fact, no one besides him will really know anything."

I went to leave, but Yuki stopped me by grabbing my arm. "He told me that he loves me."

I didn't look at her. "He does, Yuki. He would do anything for you just as I would do anything for Hanabusa."

I removed her grip and walked away, leaving her in a shocked position. I returned to the Night Dorms, making sure that no one saw me as I entered and made my way to my room. However, when I got to my room, Hanabusa was there waiting for me. I sighed and ignored him as I went to go run myself a bath. He entered the bathroom behind me as I continued to ignore him.

"I haven't seen Midori in a while, Oka," he stated.

I shrugged as I add some bath salts to the hot water. "I sent her back home. I am not in any need of her at the moment."

I went to walk past him in order to grab a robe from my wardrobe when he grabbed my arm in order to stop me.

"Why are you pushing us all away, Oka? You haven't talked to anyone since you all came back from the villa, you haven't even spoken to me since that night," Hanabusa narrowed his eyes.

"Because I can't have anyone get hurt because of me, Hanabusa!" I exclaimed, looking at him with tears in my eyes, "You and I both know that Kaname is planning something big, and I know that it's the reason he got me to attend Cross Academy in the first place. He has a big part for me to play in this, and I'm not letting the people I love get hurt because of it."

Hanabusa looked at me for a moment and then pulled me into a tight hug. "I will always be by your side, Oka. I would do anything for you and you don't have to push me away in order to keep me safe. I know that not only can I protect myself, but I know that you'll protect both me and our child."

I smiled and snuggled into his chest.

That night I didn't push Hanabusa away or make a fuss when he tried to look after me. For the first time, I let him just take care of me. I allowed all of the stress to wash away and for the rest of the night, it was just Hanabusa and I enjoying each other's company.
