The Unknown Pureblood

Chapter 17

I sighed as I sat in my seat, pouting. Rima was pouting as well since Senri wasn't here for her to feed, Takuma was also pouting because Senri wasn't here, but was less obvious about it. I looked out to the balcony and saw Kaname standing, looking over the edge, Seiren suddenly appeared next to him and said something, he nodded and she left. I narrowed my eyes at him, Hanabusa and I both knew that Kaname was up to something, but we still hadn't discovered what that was. 

I sighed again at the thought of Hanabusa, we had an argument last night over the phone. I told him that I could feel that something dark was about to happen, and he tried to convince me to go into hiding. I knew that he was just trying to protect me but it was frustrating that my mate couldn't see that I could easily protect myself. 

Kaname entered the room. "Sadly, we will have to return to the Academy earlier than expected, please get ready to leave this afternoon."

Everyone else nodded and stood up, leaving the room to go pack their things. Kaname and I were the only two left in the room and I looked up at him, glaring.

"What's going on, Kaname?I have the right to know since you've dragged everyone into this mess," I state.

"Please, Oka, do not stress," Kaname said, giving me a sinister smile, "It's bad for the baby."

I glared at him and stood up, leaving the room and going to my bedroom. I didn't miss the veiled threat that Kaname had just said to me. The fact that he was so willing to threaten me when I questioned his plans only confirmed what I already knew, Kaname was definitely planning something.

We all returned to the Academy, Takuma just dropping us off as his grandfather had summoned him for some unknown reason. The rest of the Night Class followed Kaname where as I just instantly went to where I knew Hanabusa would be. I found him in his room and smiled.

"You seem to have had a good time while we were gone," I said, motioning to the uncleanliness of the room that was usually spotless.

Hanabusa turned around from his desk and smiled at me, running up to me, gripping me tightly in his arms. "I thought you all weren't meant to be back until tomorrow."

I shrugged. "Kaname told us we had to come back early."

He kissed me and I instantly closed my eyes. We continued like that for another minute before I pulled away. 

"So, did you find what you were looking for when you looked in Kaname's room?" I questioned. 

He shook his head. "No, but I know he's definitely up to something."

I sighed. "Well, just be careful, Aido. I don't want you to get hurt."

He smiled and nodded. "I'm going to go and see if Kaname needs anything."

I nodded. Hanabusa left the room and I began to walk around the dorms. I knew what needed to be done. Kaname obviously had a bigger part for me to play in all of this, and I wasn't about to let Hanabusa become hurt because of me, or anyone else for that matter. I had to make sure that I pushed them all away, making sure that they'll never get hurt.
