Kaitlin and Stiles left the Stilinski house pretty quickly, jumping into Stiles' jeep and driving down to the school. For the majority of the ride, stiles kept quiet, simply stating that he had a lead. they got into the school and stiles lead Kaitlin into one of the labs

"so what are we looking for?" Kaitlin questioned. Stiles opened a supply closet, entering in a rush. Kaitlin stopped "that was suppose to be locked"

"Yeah. I know. Notice anything else?"

"Smells like chemicals" Kaitlin's nose scrunched up at the strong smell before it hit her. "They wouldn't have been able to catch a scent..."

Stiles continued to use his flashlight to navigate the dark room. Kaitlin watched as he caught something, moving to shine the light at the ground, stray staples and drops of blood at his feet.

"He was here, performing very minor surgery on himself. You were right" he looked up at the witch, who stared at the blood, shaking her head. "Maybe...but I don't feel good about this"

"Yeah, probably because he was here to kill somebody" Stiles attempted to reassure the girl, seeing the look in her eye.

"Who?"

"That's what we gotta figure out."

Stiles pocketed his phone, moving to leave the closet. The pair started to search the lab. "We could spread out, start looking for... anything"

Kaitlin walked down by the black board, spotting the numbers written in the middle of it. "Katie, what are those?"

"Atomic numbers" something about the numbers felt odd to her, Stiles quickly moved over to stand beside her.

"Is it a formula?"

"Not really. 19's potassium. 53's iodine. 88's radium" she studied the numbers carefully "the first two make potassium iodide." She shook her head, picking up the chalk and writing a k next to the number.
