"You may have heard the stories in your textbooks, maybe you saw an article about it online, maybe you were curious about them, who they were, why it happened.

Most don't believe the stories, they say it's a matter of fiction, delusional men who were looking for trouble, evil men who couldn't stand a woman being strong or smart.

The Salem witch trials lasted for 2 whole years, two hundred women were accused, thirty found guilty and nineteen losing their life to these men's delusions.

You want the truth?

There were witches in Salem, but those women weren't them."

"What are you doing?" A voice cut Kaitlin away from the book in her lap, tearing her gaze away from the pages and looking towards the woman who stood in the doorway of the living room.

Natalie looked tired, having just gotten home from her long shift at the hospital, a bag hung loosely on her shoulder. Kaitlins said nothing, turning back towards the book.

"Where did you get that?" Natalie's voice grew worrisome, dropping her bag and entering the living room. "Don't ignore me, Kaitlin. Where did you get that book"

"You sound like you already know, so..."

"You went to Oakley Cross? After i specifically asked you not to?" The redhead crossed her arms over her chest, noticing the way Kaitlin hadn't looked up from the text.

"I told you that place was..."

"It was lovely actually..." Kaitlin looked up at her mother. "It had hundreds of books, memorabilia from the trials, from the coven, the seven." She continues

"I learned more in an hour in that place than I have ever done here."

"That place brings darkness to those who go...you should have told me" she stops halfway through her sentence. And Kaitlin laughs.
