CURSES AND HEXES are powerful spells that allow witches to either harm, damage, and even allow death to fall upon a victim that commonly comes with long-lasting, slowed, or delayed effects. Several are ritualistic and may require physical contact with the target, an object owned by the target, or is a part of their body such as nails, hairs, or blood. Hexes, in particular, are much more potent and have a short time before removal is impossible. Hexes start with magic, but as time progresses, and they take root, they alter the very chemistry of the brain.

Removal is impossible. Simple way of saying Kaitlin was fucked.

Last night after talking a bit more with her family she headed straight to bed which really meant staying up half the night to research this stupid rune, placed on her skin.

Safe to say she'd come up empty with any effort she'd made to try remove it.

He'd condemned her.

"You've been reading that same page for the past ten minutes" looking up, slightly startled by the sudden voice, Kaitlin's eyes set on Isaac, who now stood in the doorway to the kitchen, where she'd been sat since 5 a.m.

Her brows furrowed at his words, looking back down at the page number, scanning the words. "Have I?"

Isaac nodded, smiling lightly as Kaitlin looked at him with parted lips. "oh"

She returned her gaze to the book, agitation glazing over her features as she loosened her grip on the book and sighed. Isaac moved to sit across from her, gaze flickering to the old book with words on the front he couldn't understand but assumed to be Latin.

"What is it?"

"Just one of the books I got from Oakley Cross" she continued to look at the book.
