IT HAD STARTED as a normal week, school then swim and soccer practice, hospital visits, repeat. The same routine she'd mastered two years previously, it had become her normal, a hard one, but one she could manage.

Now, 2000 miles away from the place she'd grown to call her home, that routine had died when he did. No more medications, no more hospital trips...no more Tyler.

Standing in the dreary wet grass of beacon hills cemetery, Kaitlin felt a sense of dread wash over her. This was not the way she had imagined her return to beacon hills would go. She wished he was standing next to her, or that she was down there with him. That the muddy grass, slippery from the horrible rain that fell, would open up and swallow her whole.

Stifled cries surrounded her of people she'd forgotten that she'd known, the rare familiar face in the crowd made her feel uneasy.

Her twin brother clutched tightly onto her hand, his other holding an umbrella above the two of them, Kodin looked strong, a fierce face plastered on, a shame. 13 years old and now the sole man of the house.

Kaitlin watched the brown coffin sinking into the earth, her grandma used to say that death was a witches right of passage, the circle of life and all that, we give back to the earth in death what we had taken in life.

A load of bullshit.

The pack watch as Kodin and natalie do a locator spell to try find Kaitlin. But she's nowhere to be found. "it's like she doesn't exist..."

"You don't think..."

"No! No we can't think like that. He has her cloaked somewhere he's just to strong to see past it."

Stiles sighs, running a hand through his hair and sitting down. His heart hammered nails into his chest, every beat a shock to his system.

"This is our fault"
