Now, Kaitlin sat in the back of Stiles' jeep with Isaac and Kodin. Scott riding shotgun as Stiles drove. They knew where Lydia was and it was time to bring her home, time to take out the nogitsune.
The ride was quiet, the sky dark and the wind rough.
Stiles glanced towards Scott, seeing the Alpha with his eyes shut. "Hey, you okay?"
"Yeah" Scott looked at Stiles "yeah. You don't have to worry about me"
Kaitlin felt Isaac shake his head. "All right, I'm gonna say it." He started, gaining the groups attention. "You look like you're dying"
Scott turned towards Isaac quickly, giving him a shocked look. Kaitlin closed her eyes in frustration. He never had great timing. Kodin just listened and Stiles stared ahead.
"You're pale, and you're thin, and you look like you're getting worse"
Kaitlin nudged Isaac roughly, giving him a glare "really?"
"What? We're all sitting here thinking it" he shrugged, turning back to Stiles. "When we find the other you, is he gonna look like he's getting better?" He asked.
"What happens if he gets hurt?" Kodin spoke up, resting his head on his hand against the door of the car.
"What do you mean? Like, if he dies, then do I die?" Stiles asked, looking in the rear view mirror and catching a glimpse of Kaitlin, who had her head down.
"I don't care." He shakes his head. "Just so long as no one else dies because of me"
"None of that is your fault, Stiles."Kaitlin states, looking up and locking eyes with him. "It wasn't you"
