Raia was able to lunge and bite the heads off of the few hooded people clinging to Wang Bao with ease, giving Wang Bao space to start running back to Nakai, who had now been pushed back a few tens of feet thanks to a hoard of people surrounding him with knives and batons. Seeing the group of people wanting to cause harm to Nakai made Wang Bao freeze for a few seconds, contemplating what to do. Bare handed, Wang Bao knew he didn't stand a chance so he quickly started searching the ground for a weapon, trying his best to ignore the bloody headless bodies that Raia was leaving behind. Along the entire length of the long street, every stall Wang Bao had eaten from or planned on eating were now bursting with bright orange flames towards the dark sky. It was unsurprising that in the heat of the sudden attack the vendors had chosen to run without turning their cookers off, causing a cluster of oil fires to ignite. Wang Bao tried his best to cover his mouth and nose to stop himself from inhaling too much toxic smoke, luckily the majority of the smoke was able to be moved upward thanks to the light breeze; as long as he kept low to the ground, Wang Bao's vision wouldn't be affected by the lingering smoke.

As for Nakai, he had been able to sacrifice a few shallow cuts to his arms and lower legs in order to cut down his group of attackers to only three. With Nakai's hand slowly becoming coated in a slippery layer of blood, he lunged forward with ease before tackling all three attackers to the ground with a heavy thud. The weight of his body was more than enough to kill two out of the three human sized people, and with a stomp of his foot while standing up, Nakai was able to take down the last opponent with ease. As soon as Nakai was able to focus his attention back on Wang Bao, his heart jumped anxiously when he struggled to see Wang Bao through the thickening smoke. It wasn't until Nakai looked closer to the ground that he was able to see Wang Bao crawling on all fours. With Raia taking down the attackers coming from the end of the street they hadn't entered through, Nakai ran over to Wang Bao and crouched down. As soon as Wang Bao was in reach, Nakai grabbed a hold of his hands firmly before telling him to get up and run. There was no time for Nakai to explain everything to Wang Bao, but it didn't matter since after the initial shock of someone holding his hand and pulling him up to his feet, Wang Bao was able to regain his clarity and run behind Nakai with a somewhat quick speed.

Nakai didn't know if the quickly growing fires had awoken something in the shell shocked citizens, but the remaining people leftover from the night market started running all over the place, making it hard for Nakai to move forward without pushing past them forcibly. If it was any other day, Nakai would have done all he can for these people, but since the hooded attackers weren't interested in them, they were currently only getting in his way of protecting the person who needed it most. Through the thickening smoke, Nakai was able to make out a clear enough path for Wang Bao back to the car. Wang Lei was closest towards the exit they had entered through, fighting a group of hooded people only fifty metres from the gate while Nera was the same distance away from them. Looking behind him and Wang Bao, Nakai could see Raia had killed every hooded person behind them was making her way forward, her large white eyes set on Wang Bao. Looking forward again, Nakai spoke to Wang Bao in a low voice while slowing down to a fast walk.

"Raia is going to be right behind you; all you have to do is run to your brother and get inside the car. Once you're inside, Lei can take you somewhere safe."

Wang Bao wanted to argue that he wouldn't leave without Nakai, but he chose to hold his tongue since he knew that Nakai's plan was for the best. After a simple nod and squeeze of his hand, Wang Bao felt Nakai press against the small of his back, signalling for him to start running towards Wang Lei. Unfortunately for Wang Bao, his slightly protruding belly started to bounce around violently as soon as he started running. The heavy bouncing motion caused Wang Bao to feel as if the foetus growing inside of him was purposely thrashing against his other organs. In the hopes of calming the upset little fish, Wang Bao quickly cradled the underneath of his stomach with his left hand while using his right to balance his unstable body. Behind Wang Bao, Nakai watched his slender frame run away from him for a split second before running over to Nera, who was currently struggling to push off the five people that were clinging to his back and attempting to slice his arms. To make things easy for both him and Nera, Nakai simply sprinted right for Nera's chest before tackling him to the ground heavily. Although the mission of freeing Nera from his attackers was successful, his execution earned him a swift punch to the arm since Nera's impact with the ground wasn't exactly soft.
