Everything since Miles' birthday pretty much went back to normal, work, being parents, having fun, cuddles and chocolate but today's as different.

I was sitting on the couch with Miles watching a movie while Nell was napping, Flora was playing, Jack and Noah probably still asleep when I got a call
It was an unknown number.

"Who's that?" Miles asked with knitted eyebrows

"I don't know." I muttered and answered the call

"Hello?" I asked through the phone

"Hello Ms. l/n, this is the Blossom valley hospital calling and I'm sorry to inform you that your mother is sick and won't make it, I'm so sorry. She requested I call. She wanted to see you for one last time"

(That's just a random hospital name I looked up)

"I-I'm sorry, what? Why does she want to see me. I haven't seen her in over a year, almost two."

"I don't know ma'am she just requested I call." The women on the other end replied

"Is my dad there with her?" I asked only because I was curious

I looked over to Miles and he had a really confused and annoyed look, I gestured that it was fine and he sat back relieved and started petting the dog.

"I've talked to your mom over the past five months of her being here and from what she's said is that...Your father left almost two years ago, he got in an accident and died."

"How did I not hear about this?" I laughed

"Um, I don't know ma'am but you mother would like to see you." The women sounded disturbed because I laughed at my dads death

"Fuck it." I muttered

"I'll be there."

"Thank you, I'll let her know she has a visitor come soon." and with that I hung up

"What was that about?" He asked

"My moms sick and on her death bed, she wants me to come see her."

"And you're gonna go?" He asked confused as to why I would want to go

"I wanna go and let her know how much she fucked up." I shrugged and grabbed my bag, getting ready to go

"You wanna come?"

"Uhh, sure?"

I went upstairs to go get Nell and Flora.

"What the hell? You're being so loud and woke me up!" Jack said rubbing his eyes

"Too bad. My moms dying, wanna go see?"

"Um yeah!" He said and ran off presumably to go get Noah

I grabbed Nell making sure not to wake her up even though Noah will most definitely do the job.

"Oh my god I'm so excited! I want my painted rock I gave her on Christmas in second grade back." Noah exclaimed

"I'm pretty sure she threw it away by now."

"What a bitch!" He threw his hands up

We walked downstairs and go in the car, ready to go

"You wanna know what she said?! She said that my dad left her two years ago! That day at the cafe when I told him that my mom cheated! He left her! That's fucking hilarious. And he died."
