The pool nightmare

Y/n POV
Fairchild residence
Me and Miles were just laying down until Hazel
Called us to dinner.

We got up and headed downstairs

I sat in the middle of Miles and Flora like always

Hazel handed us our food and she sat down as well

Kate then came down.

She looked ill. She was pale, bags under her eyes, she looks malnourished.

She didn't talk to anyone which I was fine with.

Once we finished eating Miles grabbed me and Flora's hand and went to our room.

"You guys wanna watch a movie?" Miles asked

"Yeah!" Flora said happily

We watched y/f/m (your favorite movie)

Once the movie had finished it was around 9:00 pm

"Do you wanna pull a prank on Kate?" Miles randomly asked

"Let's do it!" Flora said

"Well we have to wait for later tonight around midnight" I said

We waited till midnight to start the prank

"The plan is we're gonna take this mannequin and throw it in the pool and make it look like Flora's drowning and Kate will jump in after her." Miles said

"Sounds fun." Flora said

We grabbed one of the many mannequins that the house had for whatever reason.

"Ok Flora when I throw it in scream" Miles said

*throws in the pool*

*scream*

We hide behind the statue

I see Kate in the window on the phone starting to panic.

Miles put his finger to his lips to signify to stay quiet.

Kate ran to look in the pool and saw "Flora"

She jumped inside and was swimming around, she stopped swimming for a second then freaked out and grabbed the mannequin.

She got out the water coughing and pulled "Flora" and her out the water, that's when she realized it was a mannequin.

We came out and just starting laughing until Kate gave us looks like we're crazy.

"The three of you, get inside now" Kate said having a hard time breathing

"Kate it was just a joke, chill the hell out." I told her

"That is not a joke." She told me

"Just come on" Miles told me grabbing mine and Flora's hand

Hazel came out

"Kate what happened?" Hazel questioned

"Ask the psychotic kids" Kate said

That's when I turned around

"Psychotic? We're the psychotic ones?
Kate do you see yourself?  
I see you walking around the house like you just saw a ghost." I told her

"You cannot talk to me like that!" Kate said

"You just called us psychotic! Your job is to teach us and the only thing you have done is ruin my life" I told her

"And Flora told me what you said to her." I said to Kate
