I woke up hearing Nell crying so I got up and went to her room to bring into my room to get her to go back to sleep.
She was definitely crying harder than she usually does.

"What's wrong baby?" I said picking her up

I started rocking her back and forth to see if she would fall back asleep but it wasn't working like it usually did.
I walked back into Miles' and I's room to go rock her more.

Once I got in there I noticed Miles was awake

"Here, I can take her." Miles said putting out his arms so he can grab her

I handed her to him and went downstairs to get a bottle to see if that helps.

I grabbed the bottle and quickly went back upstairs to find her still crying.
I handed Miles the bottle and sat in the rocking chair while they were in the bed.

"I don't know why she didn't calm down when you had her, you usually calm her down." I said

Miles shrugged and tried to feed her but still failed.

Nell is a daddy's girl and when I can't calm her down Miles can almost always put her back to sleep.
(Not intended to be sexual. Ugh dirty minds)

"Maybe she needs a diaper change." I suggested

We tried that and nothing was working.

"What's wrong bug?" I asked rubbing her head which felt really hot

"Her heads really warm." I said

"Maybe she's sick." Miles added

I got up to go get a thermometer just to check.

Her temperature came out to be 101 degrees

"She's sick." I said worriedly

Miles turned the thermometer over so he could see

"What do we do?!" I asked

My motherly instincts were coming out and a little too much because I was freaking out

Miles pulled up his phone to look up what to do.

"It says to give her baby Tylenol and see what that does first." Miles read

"I'll go get it." I said getting up

I went to the kitchen medicine cabinet to look for the Tylenol, I spotted it and brought it back upstairs.

I gave her to measurement safe for her age and waited to see if that works.

She calmed down a little bit but after half and hour she was still very warm.
I took off her pajamas maybe to cool her down.
It's winter though so I draped a blanket over her.

"I'll run her a bath." Miles said getting up

"My poor baby doesn't feel good. I'm sorry." I said rubbing her cheek

She just stared up at me with her big brown eyes.

"Her baths all ready." Miles said in the bathroom doorway

I got up and we put her in the bath.

We didn't even wash her hair or anything, we were more focused on getting her temp down

"You think this will work?" I asked

"I don't know, I hope." Miles said

"But don't worry too much about it. She'll be ok." Miles said rubbing my back
