I really can't thank you enough for 7.22k, ily.
I saw these cakes on my Instagram and now these are my new aesthetics.
Also why are people trying to cancel Finn for saying fappy? Wtf is cancel culture.
There are so people who need to be canceled for a good reason but other times people are so bored that they'll cancel anyone.

Y/n POV
Fairchild residence

Nell was your average 1 almost 2 year old baby, she was happy a lot of the times, sometimes really cranky like her dad, playful, energetic, sweet, moody on occasions, everything that most one year olds go through but lately it's been different to say the least.

"Y/n honey, are you sure she's ok?" Miles asked concerned for his daughter

"I don't know." I shook my head and bent down to her height in Miles' lap, her head buried in his chest.

She's been acting really weird, every time we would go to Penny's or work she wouldn't want to see anybody else. She would get nervous and cry or fiddle with her fingers like a anxious kid would do. She's been a lot more quiet and needy, only wanting Miles or I to hold her and never playing.
She just looks sad and tired all the time.

"I-I don't know what to do anymore." He sighed, pushing back her hair

"Um...Maybe I can call Penny. She'll know what to do." I suggested. At this point we don't have many options

He just sighed in response, clearly stressed.

I grabbed my phone out of my pocket and went to Penny's contact and pressed call.

"Hello?" She answered

"Penny I have a question."

"Go on."

I explained everything that's been going on with Nell and how she's been acting lately and how it's not how she normally acts.

"I don't know, Sweets. I'm not a child's therapist but it sounds like it's either just her growing up and changing or showing signs of anxiety if she's getting nervous around people she sees everyday and people she loves."

I paced back and forth. These were not the words I wanted to hear. Nobody wants to see their baby go through that.

"Yeah..Maybe. Um, I'll call you back." I felt tears prick my eyes

"What?" He asked hurriedly

"She said that it could be just her growing up o-"

"Bullshit."

"Or that she has anxiety, but it's not like we could take her to a therapist. She's one, it's not like she can talk about her feelings." I sat down and put my head in my hands

"So what are we supposed to do? Watch her sit here and be like depressed and anxious?"

"I don't know. She's pushed most people away and I don't want to see her suffer." I had tears falling down my face now

"Come here." He called and gestured for me to come sit next to them. I did as I was told and laid my head on his shoulder as he rubbed my back.

"I'll figure something out. We'll figure something out." He corrected himself to which I nodded

We sat there for a couple minutes just sitting there, the only noises being Nell's sleepy breathing.

"You look tired maybe we should take a nap?" Miles suggested

"Mmh." I nodded and got up.

We went upstairs and laid down, Nell in the middle of us.

She looked like the most gorgeous thing in the world, her loose shoulder length curls all over the place making her look even more cute if that's possible, her tiny button nose, her long eyelashes covering her bright sparkling brown eyes.

"I hope it isn't true." I said twisting her hair through my fingers

"Hope so too but if it is then we'll work it out." He rubbed circles on my hand

I kissed his cheek and admired the two.

Ok this chapter sucks but the meaning of this was supposed to be that we shouldn't glamorize mental illnesses, they aren't cute it's one of the worst things you could go through. So next time you wanna say something about you having anxiety, depression, etc. without being diagnosed please think about it next time.
These types of things aren't cute or quirky, it sucks and really fucks with people.
If you think you suffer from these illnesses you should get diagnosed before you say stuff like that.
And if you have been diagnosed or just really need somebody to talk about it text me because I know how it feels.
I've been diagnosed with Depression and Anxiety and let me tell you, it's fucked me up in so many ways.
