"Can you pass me that knife over there?" Nat requested while she pointed at the knife on the table. You grabbed it and passed it to her.
"Thanks, oh and remember to stir the sauce carefully, don't let it burn." Nat ordered and took the knife out of your hand.

You were making a dinner for the team together with Nat. You liked to help her often with the food, as much as you could.

"Is dinner done yet?" Tony asked impatiently as he walked in with Bruce following him behind.
"Not yet." Nat blurted and started to cut some vegetables for your food.
"Try to hurry, I'm starving and we need to get back to work soon." Tony snarled and sat down on a chair. You felt in your back how Nat rolled her eyes at Tony, and you really didn't blame her. Tony was often too rude and impatient.

Then Thor and Loki entered in, arguing about something pointless as usual.
"You really should cheer yourself up brother, don't be such a grumpy oaf all the time." Thor snarled while he was dragging Loki to sit down with Bruce and Tony.
"Shut up." Loki grumbled and rolled his eyes. He was very frustrated of his brother, once again.
"Y/N! Is dinner already done?" Thor decided to ignore his brother for awhile and turned the conversation towards you.
"No it's not." you murmured and sighed heavily.
"Can you guys even once be polite and wait the food without being such a impatient dorks all the time!" Nat growled. She was usually stable, but sometimes she had the ability to lost her temper to those disrespectful boys.
"Ouch!" Nat yelped suddenly and backed off a little from the table. You turned around to see what had happened.
"Don't worry, it's just a cut." she said while she held her bleeding hand. You let go of the sauce and walked over to her.
"Let me." you said gently and grabbed her hand carefully.
You placed your own hand above hers and soon you felt her pain in your veins. Those veins in your arms turned black as her pain ran through your body.

The bleeding stopped slowly and you took your hand off of hers. Then you took a bandage from one of the cabinets to tie it up.
"Thanks." she said kindly and smiled at you. And you smiled back as you were tying her hand.
"How is it possible that our agent with good fighting skills cuts herself with a single kitchen knife?" you said in amuse and it earned a laugh from Nat. She shrugged and rolled her eyes in response.

"Everything alright in there?" you heard Tony's curious voice from the dining area.
"Yeah, I just accidentally cut myself." Nat
replied. "It's just a little cut." she added after she saw their worried faces.
"You sure?" Bruce asked, he was always little too worried about Nat. And you had your doubts why.
"Yes I am, besides Y/N already helped me with it." Nat replied and smiled warmly at you.

The dinner was finally ready and all team members had gathered around the table. Nat gave them bowls of her homemade spaghetti with delicious tomato sauce.
You sat down next to Loki, since it was the only seat left.

"Good as always." Steve flattered and shove more food into his mouth. Bruce gave a quick menacing glare at Steve. They were always fighting for Nat's attention.

"Are those two really competing of Natasha?" Loki whispered to your ear. You flinched first, but then smiled in amuse. You really had got more comfortable around him lately.
"They had done that since the day I joined this team." you replied quietly enough so others wouldn't hear you. Although they couldn't anyway, they were always talking too loudly.

You noticed soon Nat's glance at you, she looked amused while she smirked. It made you blush a little, and after Loki had noticed Nat's look on her face too, he turned back to his food.

After the dinner, Nat asked you to stay and help with the dishes. Others went back to their duties and other stuff while you grabbed their plates and handed them over to Nat.

"So, you and Loki?" she grinned and poked you gently at your arm. You wanted to act like you had no idea what she was talking about, so you looked at her confused.
"Don't you dare to deny it, I saw how he looked at you during the dinner while you two were talking." Nat laughed and started to fill the dishwasher while you were placing leftovers to the fridge.
"There's nothing going on between me and him." you said firmly, trying to sound very convincing. But of course she didn't believe you. Nat was too good with surveying from distance.

"Seems to me that he likes you very much, including your wolf." she blurted and turned to look at you. You tried hard not to blush.
"No he doesn't." you replied firmly and rolled your eyes afterwards. Nat shook her head in amuse.
"You can lie to yourself, but I have eyes. And those eyes see pretty well how that mischievous god is really interested in you." Nat said with hint of grin on her lips.

You really didn't wanna believe her words. They didn't make sense at all. Why on earth would someone like Loki, possibly like a monster like you?

*

Later in the evening you were sitting in the common room, alone as usual. You tried to read your book but it was really hard since the thoughts were running through your head. You couldn't stop thinking about Nat's words.

She had to be wrong, right?

"May I join you?" you heard a male voice behind you. You flinched out of your thoughts and turned to look at the source of the voice. Although his frost scent already told you who it was.
You saw Loki standing behind you with book and cup of tea in his hands, waiting for your approval.
You nodded in response and let him join you on the couch.

"Are you alright Y/N? I didn't mean to scare you." Loki said after he had settled down on the couch comfortably enough.
"I'm perfectly fine." you mumbled in reply, still trying to be more confident around him. Something in him always made you shy and insecure when you two were alone. Maybe your wolf didn't trust him that much after all.

And now when you more thought about it, your wolf had actually acted pretty strange lately, especially around him.

You looked up at Loki who was sipping his tea and continuing with his book already.

"Thank you, by the way." you said suddenly, making Loki lift his head up from his book and look at you little strangely but amused.
"For what, lady wolf?" he asked innocently.
"Not telling the others about my other name, or story behind it." you mumbled little nervously and embarrassed. Loki instead, started smiling warmly as he said:
"Breaking promises doesn't belong to my habits." he replied gently. You couldn't help smiling.

"I thought that it was one of the main habits, when it comes to the god of mischief." you blurted. Loki looked down at his book, looking little offended by your words. You regretted it immediately and sank back inside your own bubble.
"Sorry, I didn't mean to offend you." you mumbled and lifted your book back up to hide your embarrassment.

"It's alright Y/N, you said nothing wrong." he replied softly for your surprise.
But you didn't reply anything anymore because you already regretted your words, so you both got back into your books again.

Gosh, what was wrong with you?
