There was no words when you two just stared at each other's eyes. Loki's fingers were still under your chin. He began to lean closer, very carefully and slowly. You held your breath as you watched him getting closer and closer, now being only inches away from you. You felt his breath on your lips and your heart was beating like crazy.

Should you go for it?

But someone else got to answer to your question first as Jarvis interrupted you two all sudden. "Mr Rogers has requested the whole team to gather up into the common room. It's urgent."

You turned to look at Loki who was staring at the floor and he seemed a bit embarrassed.
"Thank you Jarvis, we'll be there soon." you replied then without taking your eyes off of him. Then Loki moved his eyes from the floor back into yours and gave you a slight smile.
"We should go." he said and you nodded.

And then you two stood up and headed to the common room and pretended that nothing really happened.

"What the hell is wrong with your eyes?" Tony asked the second he saw you after you had entered in.
"Everything alright?" Nat asked and stood up from the couch.
"I'm alright, it's just-"
"We have no time for explanations, you can tell us later. We have a new mission." Steve interrupted as he stood up after every one of you had got their asses in the same room. You just nodded and Nat shut her mouth.

Then Steve gave you his typical speech and short information about the coming. "Y/N, you will stay here. You're too sick to go." Steve said then as he turned to look at you. You would've wanted to protest, but you knew that he was right. You couldn't even shift and you were too weak. You just would be on their way. "And everyone else, let's move." he added then quickly.
"Wait, should someone stay with Y/N? Like you said, she is sick." Loki said before anyone could've left.
"No, I need you all with me. Besides I think she can take care of herself well enough while we're gone." Steve replied and looked at you, waiting for your response.
"He's right. I'll be fine." you replied. Loki looked a little too reluctant to leave. But after you gave him that confident 'I'm gonna be alright' smile, he gave up and left with others.

Hours passed slowly, while you sat on the couch of the common room. You had had enough energy to visit the kitchen to get some snacks. And after that you had collapsed on the couch to read your book. You felt slightly feverish, but it wasn't that bad that you could've not handled it by yourself.

And soon you noticed too, that it was starting to get pretty late. You sighed very heavily. You knew they were going to be late outiside. You just hoped that everything was alright.

"Ms Y/N." Jarvis called you suddenly.
"Jarvis?"
"Someone on the door had requested to meet you. She calls herself your mother."

You sat up and slight shock passed through your body.
"Can you show her to me?" you requested and soon after that, Jarvis showed her from the cameras. It was her, no doubt, but why was she here? "Thank you Jarvis, I'll take care of it." you said then and began to walk towards the elevator to get yourself downstairs.

Your muscles tensed as you stepped out of the elevator and saw your mother, standing outside of the door. You tried to be as careful as possible and also tried to find other wolves that might had been around.
"There's no one else but me, trust me." your mother said as you walked outside. But you didn't trust her at all, not after everything what had happened.
"Last time I trusted you, my dad died." you snarled at her.
"Are you ever going to let that go?" she sighed.
"Yes, when you bring him back from being dead." you replied firmly. Your mother took another deep breath as she tried to come closer, but you growled at her as a sign to stay still.
"Is this really how you greet your mother?" she said.
