Later in the evening you were still sitting on the couch with Loki, and reading your books while Loki was sipping his tea as usual. He would had offered it to you too if you hadn't been still too suspicious about it.

Then suddenly, you heard sounds from few floors downwards. Thanks to your good hearing senses, you heard well how the team had just got back from the mission and heading to Tony's and Bruce's work lab.
"What is it little wolf?" Loki asked after he had noticed that you were distracted from your book.
"The team, they're back." you replied and closed your book and stood up. You settled it down on the couch and walked quickly to the elevator.
"Where are you going?" Loki asked and stood up as well.
"To find out what had happened and why I weren't included to the mission." you replied and stepped inside the elevator. Loki rushed over to you and followed you in there.

The door slid open and you stepped in. You noticed the team gathered together in the lab and talking, while they looked exhausted and little injured from the mission.
"Fury was right." Nat sighed while she pressed her arm with cloth to stop the bleeding.
You stayed on the doorway, listening them from distance and not letting them notice you yet.

"Who would have thought?" Clint grinned while he was fixing his bow.
"This isn't funny Barton." Steve grumbled at him. There were lots of tense among the team. You gave a look at Loki, who seemed to sense it too.

"I didn't know it was even possible." Bruce blurted out in confusion. And he never was that confused about anything, so there must had happened something unexpected.
"I didn't even know that others than SHIELD and us knows about them." Tony said, he was also little amused for some reason.

"Apparently they do, and it's a big risk for us and Y/N." Steve murmured. He looked pissed as he sighed very heavily.
You and Loki glanced at each other and you could swear you had almost hear him thinking: "I think they're talking about werewolves."

But you didn't want to stay there and think all the possible other options, so you straightened your spine and decided to walk in.
"What is a big risk for me?" you asked curiously but firmly. You needed to know if there was something that could led you in danger.
"Y/N.." Steve gasped and others turned to look at you as well.

"Everything is just fine, you must had misheard us." Tony shrugged.
"You really shouldn't lie to the wolf anymore, she heard already." Loki grumbled. You were quite surprised and flattered that he was defending you.
Steve sighed and stepped forwards.
"Alright, I assume you're little upset that we hid this mission from you, but trust us, there was a good reason for it." Steve started. He drew his gaze quickly at Loki and then back to you while you were waiting his good reason for leaving you out of the team.
"We didn't take you on the mission because Fury warned us about... werewolves." Steve told you. You looked at Loki, who was looking at you concerned. He seemed to have no idea what was going on either.

"There were werewolves?" you asked, confused and stunned by Steve's words. He nodded carefully in reply, waiting for your reaction.
"You mean.. like actual werewolves?" Loki decided to ask, letting you to process those news in peace.
"Yeah, actual werewolves not any kind of lab experiments." Tony grumbled and it made Loki to drew an angry glare at him.

"I don't get it, why did you left me in here? I could have helped, I know them better than any of you." you mumbled, trying hard to keep your wolf under your control. Your wolf was angry and it wasn't good at all.
"We wanted to protect you. You could've got distracted if you had been there." Steve replied, but he took few steps further, just in case that you would have let your wolf out.

"Besides we needed someone to look after Reindeer Games." Tony added, trying hard to convince you. Loki glared at him again.
"Y/N?" Nat took few slowly steps closer to you, trying to get your attention. Your thoughts were running free in your mind once again.
"I just..." you started but then stopped. You really didn't have no idea what you should say. You really had got upset by their news.

Werewolves? Helping humans? Didn't sound right at all.

"This is why we didn't bring you with us today." Tony reminded.

And they had might been right after all, you needed to accept that. You really had got very upset.

Loki had noticed it too, so he took carefully two steps forwards to get your attention.
"Okay, we should go little wolf." he bid you gently.
But you had already something else in your mind what you needed to do.
"No." you told him firmly and then took few steps back and turned around to leave.
Loki was trying to go after you, but Thor stopped him with his arm.
"No brother, she needs to be alone now. For our safety." Thor bid him. Loki looked little stunned by his words and Thor sighed. "We are trying to avoid her when she's upset or mad, we all have our own experiences with her wolf. And none of them had ended nicely."

You rushed out of the tower. You ran as fast as you could towards the woods of your pack.
After what your team had told you, you needed to clarify some things. You had to be sure that it wasn't any from your old pack.

You ran to the edge of the woods, but stopped there. It would have been a risk to go further so you stayed in there. You knew there was always someone watching over the territory.

And you didn't have to wait long until you saw two familiar wolves.

The other one, the one with light brown fur, walked over to you and you dropped on your knee and looked him deep into his yellow wolf eyes. It was more easier to communicate with them on that way.

/What are you doing here?/ Warren asked. Your eyes started to glow yellow as you started to communicate with him.
/I need to know something./ you replied firmly.
/So this isn't about your returning?/ he asked little sarcastically. You rolled your eyes in reply.
/Never./ you growled. You also really hoped at the time that this wasn't a risk when you had decided to come here.

/I just heard that there is werewolves helping humans. Bad humans./ you told him. Warren growled a little in shock.
/What? How is that even possible?/ he asked.
/You think I would have came here if I knew?/ you growled back and started slowly to regret that you had come here.
/You think they belong to our pack? And why are you even telling me this?/ Warren asked little offended. He knew what you had suspected.
/I know about the rule Warren, and I still respect and obey it./ you snarled. Warren nodded as an accept and maybe even as thanks to you.

/Well okay then./ he sighed. /I'll discuss with the alpha. But I don't think he will be happy to hear who I had got that information from./ Warren grumbled, showing you his teeth. That pesky wolf tried to scare you. You huffed and rolled your eyes in reply as you stood back up.
Then you glanced at the wolf who had stayed further behind.
/Tell her that her attempts to make me forgive her are absolutely pointless./ you told Warren while you glared at her.
/She's still your mother./ Warren snarled and turned around to head back to the woods. You stood there and watched how they ran away, howling at the same time to the pack.

And after they had vanished from your sight, you turned around too and headed back to the tower. Now you just needed to wait for Warren's return with his news.
