You Diserve To Know What Love Is, Part 3

"Casey?" Raph called out into the dark. It was pitch black. He reached out and slowly stepped foward until his fingers brushed up against a stone wall. When he turned to feel around in the other direction he was met with another wall. He followed the wall with his hand hoping to find a door or a light switch. He walked. And he walked. And walked.

It soon became clear to him that this was a hallway and not a room. It seemingly went on forever.
Then his foot hit something. He stumbled over it and hit the ice cold floor that radiated a chill, much like when you open a freezer.

"What the hell did I trip on?" He whispered to himself. He felt around until he felt a hand. He gasped and quickly pulled away.

"Raph..." A familiar voice croaked out. It was so quiet Ralph almost didn't hear it over his rapid breathing.

"C-casey?!" He got closer to where he heard the voice. "Casey, what happened? Are you alright? Where are we?"

"Raph..run. She's coming".

"What do you mean?! Who's coming?!...Casey? Casey answer me!" He placed a hand on his chest and felt something wet. He still couldn't see, but he instantly knew that it was blood. "Casey?" Raph whispered as tears streamed down his face. He didn't get a response. He was gone.

"Ah, There you are!" Mona said from behind him.

"M-Mona?! But how?!" Raph cried out. He backed away hoping she wouldn't see him.

"I told you I'd find you! And now YOURE GOING TO PAY!" her voice was like thunder. It boomed throughout Raphaels whole body. "YOURE WORTHLESS! ANNOYING! PATHETIC! CASEY WAS STUPID TO FALL IN LOVE WITH YOU!"

"Please just leave me alone!" He sobbed. Mona just laughed mockingly at him. From the darkness she appeared with a sinister smile. But she didn't look like herself. She looked like the all too familiar shadowed figure that haunted Ralphs dreams each night. She was the Shadow monster all along.
She grew bigger, towering over him. Water started to flood around them until Raph was completely engolfed by it. He frantically thrashed around. He couldn't breath. He couldn't talk. All he could do was listen to Monas laughter as he sank away into the dark sea.

"Raph!" Casey called out to him. Casey? But he was dead...Mona killed him..."Raph! Wake up!"

His eyes shot open as he sat up in bed. Casey turned on the lamp and held Raph in his arms. Raph started to hyperventalate feeling like he was drowning still.

"Shhhh, you're okay" Casey whispered to him. "I've got ya. It was just a dream. You're safe Babe". He planted a long and loving kiss on his temple and rubbed his back. Within a few moments Raphs breathing started to slow. He hugged Casey and buried his face into his chest.

"That dream was awful" he cried. "I was in a dark hallway. I was so alone. And then Mona she...she killed you.
A-and then she turned into that Shadow monster I told you about and she drowned me". He was sobbing by the time he finished his sentence. Casey hugged him tighter and ran his fingers through Raphs fluffy hair.

"It's alright love. I'm here. She can't hurt you anymore" Casey reassured him. "The judge said she'd be locked up for a while for attempted murder".
He felt Ralph flinch at the mention of murder. He knew he could have died by her hands that day.

It had been three months since Raph came home from the hospital. He and Casey had started dating. They agreed to take things slow to give Raph time to heal from his previous relationship. He still flinched when people shouted around him. He appologized for The smallest of things. And of course there was still the night terrors and lack of sleep.

"I don't think I can go back to sleep" He mumbled.

"Alright, tell ya what. How about we watch a movie and cuddle?"
