I Am Me [Part Two]

Before we start I need to address something. I messed up😅 in the first part of this I frikin put "MTF" in the title when I really meant "FTM" xjhdhxkdks. I dont even know how I managed to do that-

Okay now that we have that out of the way...here's part 2!

Coming out to Donnie made it a little easier to come out to the others. I decided to tell them all at once. Donnie helped me gather everyone into the livingroom for a "Family Meeting". I will admit that I was shaking when I told them. Much to my relief they all accepted me! They agreed to call me Mikey from this day on and use he/him pronouns when addressing me. My Dad even put together a little party later that night! There was balloons, pizza, even cake! He told me how proud he was of me, and that he'd always love me no matter what.

Now came the really hard part. School. I didn't exactly have the nicest class mates. Some of the teachers could be a little nasty too. My brothers told me they'd have my back, which made me feel better. Plus, I knew my friends would be accepting too. But when the first day came around I found myself unable to walk inside the building. I just stood there staring at the doors just above the stairs.

I felt an arm wrap around me and jumped. I relaxed when I saw that It was only Donnie. "You okay little bro?" He asked me.

"Uh...not really" I said in a very nervous tone. My hands were all sweaty. My knees felt all wobbly, and my heart was beating a million miles per minute. I wasn't out to anyone but my brothers. By my request I had Dad contact the school and ask to change my name on the attendance sheets, so as soon as the first teacher called out my name I'd me out to the entire class with how quickly word spreads around here. At least my friends would accept me. I knew they would.

"We'll walk in together" Donnie said with a reassuring smile. Leo wrapped his arm my shoulder from the other side, and Raph towered over me from behind. I giggled. It was like having my own personal body guards.

I took a deep breath, letting it out slowly. "Okay" I said with a nod. "Let's go".

They walked me inside and through the halls all the way to my locker where we, unfortunately, had to part ways. I was a grade below Donnie and Leo, and Raph was above a grade above them. Lockers were in different areas of the school depending on what grade you were in. I'm assuming that's how most schools are.

"If you need anything just text us in the group chat, okay?" Leo said.

"I will, thanks guys" I said with a smile. I waved as they walked down the hall. I then turned to face my locker and started putting my combo in. After opening it up and putting my bag away I started fetching out everything I needed for my first two classes. Just then I saw someone slide up to me against the lockers. It was Amanda, one of my good friends! We became pretty good friends in theatre class about two years back.

"Hi Mia!" She said throwing her arms around me. Before I could say anything she pulled away and started talking again. "Oh my gosh you cut your hair?!"

"Y-yeah" I said sheepishly. "Donnie helped me too. Do you like it?"

"Well...I really liked your long hair but...yeah I guess it's cute. Why'd you wanna cut it?" She asked.

"Actually, there's something I gotta tell you. Come on". I grabbed her hand after closing my locker and took her to an empty hallway.

"What's this all about?" She asked furrowing her eyebrows.

"I'm trans" I blurted out.

"Oh..." She said.
