Love you forever // Raph x Casey

"CASEY!" My Dad screamed from behind the door. "OPEN THIS DOOR RIGHT NOW!" He bangs his fists on the door. My little sister, Shadow, burried herself into my arms. I hold her close and hope that the lock holds this time. I hear him throw his body agianst the door and start to lose that hope.

"Shadow, come here" I whispered standing up. I take her over to my closet and tell her to get inside. "Stay in here, don't come out no matter what" I said placing my hand over her cheeck. She places her hand over mine. She opened her mouth to say something but our Dad throws his body up against the door again. I pull away and close the door right before he busted through.

"WHERE IS SHE?!" He screamed at me.

"Not here" I replied in a flat tone.

"Don't lie to me!" He spoke in a low yet still threatening voice.

"I'm not" I growled. "She's. Not. Here".

He grabs me by the shoulders and threw me across the room. I hit a wall and fall to the ground. Before I can even try to get up he's kicking me in the sides. He kicked me again, again again, and again. I didn't dare try to move away. That would only make things worse. I kept my eyes on the closet door. Don't open it Shadow... don't.

I feel my Dad kick me in the head, and then everything went black.

Shadows POV

I keep my hand over my mouth to muffle the sobs escaping. I flinched every time I heard Casey get hit. I wanted to go out there and help him. But I couldn't. I was too paralyzed with fear. Besides, I couldn't do anything even if I tried. He was much stronger than me. Casey wouldn't be happy with me either. He said to stay here no matter what happened. So I stayed.

I stopped hearing Casey's voice after a few minutes. He must have lost consciousness. My Dad kept kicking him. My heart pounded so hard I was scared he would hear it.

He didn't stop hurting Casey for what seemed like forever. Eventually I heard him walk out of the room. I waited a few more minutes before slowly pushing the door open and peeking outside. I saw Casey on the floor and rushed over to him now that I knew it was safe.

"Casey!" I whispered. I shook his shoulder. He let out a small groan but didn't move. There was a lot of blood around him. This was bad. He needed help. "Don't worry brother, I'm gonna get help" I whispered while holding back my tears. I went to the window and pushed it open. I hopped over the windowsill and landed on the cold grass. I shivered as I tiptoed across the front yard barefoot. I make it to the end of our property and run down the street.

Raphs POV

I was in the livingroom area just watching TV on the couch. I was bored out of my mind. The others were out on patrol. I would have gone but Donnie wouldn't allow it since I recently got sick. It was just a minor cold. Not a big deal. He was a real butt sometimes.

I blew a raspberry and turn the TV off. I got off the couch and was about to go to bed when I heard small footsteps. They were getting closer, and fast. I looked over expecting an enemy. To my surprise, it was Shadow. What was she doing here so late?!

"Shadow?" I questioned. She looked panicked and I grew worried. Whatever she was here for must have been an emergency. I don't think she'd come all the way here in the middle of the night wearing just a nightgown and no shoes if it wasn't. I quickly made my way over to her. She stopped to catch her breath and I kneeled down to her level. "Hey, Shadow what's wrong?" I asked.

"Casey...Casey's hurt" she said in between breaths. "he can't...get up".
I feel my heart sink.

"What?! Who hurt him?!" My hands ball up into fists.

She didn't answer right away. She looked as though she was hodling back tears. "Our Dad" she finally said. She was so quiet I almost didn't hear her.

"Your Dad hurt him?..."
She nodded, keeping her eyes on the floor. I put a hand on her shoulder. "Hey, stay here okay? Your brothers going to be alright. I'm gonna go get him. Donnie can help him when he gets back".

She sniffled. "Okay...thank you Raph"

"Thank you, Shadow, for coming to find me" I replied. "I'll be back as soon as I can". I rose to my feet and took off running. I'll be there soon Casey. Just hang on...

My lungs were burning by the time I got there. I hadn't stopped running the whole way. I stoped just infront of the house, almost dropping to my knees in dizzy spell. I put a hand over my mouth to muffle my coughs in case Casey's Dad was still home. After gaining my composure I go inside the house through the open window. And there he was, lying motionless on the floor surrounded by blood.

"Casey!" I whispered. I ran up to him and turned him onto his back. There was blood coming from his mouth and nose. His right eye was red underneath, the skin was probably bruising.

It took everything I had in me not to storm right up to his Dad and beat him senseless. How could he do this to him?! How could anyone hurt someone as amazing as Casey?!

I hear comotion coming from somewhere in the house. I had to move fast. I scoop up Casey In my arms and, with a bit of effort, I rise to my feet and carry him out the window.

I hear him groan when I reached the sidewalk. "Raph?" He said quietly.

"It's okay Casey, you're safe with me" I said. He looked into my eyes before his lids closed again.

It felt like forever before I got him back to the lair. It was as if the roads were stretched like taffy until they were twice as long. I found the others in the livingroom with Shadow. As soon as they saw me they came running. Donnie and Leo took him from me and I followed them to the lab.

"Bring me my kit please Leo" Donnie said as they were laying Casey down on the cot. He still hasn't woken up since I found him. I could only watch as my brothers try everything they could to help him.

Shadow comes into the room. She cries when she sees her brother. I kneel down and hug her close to me. "Shh, it's alright Shadow. He's going to be okay" I whispered.

Shadow hugged me tighter. Her quiet cries turned into more audible sobs. "This is all my fault..." She cried.
