"You wanna hurry up, Catwoman?" Jughead mumbled teasingly, though only earned a glare in return from Betty, who was trying to pick the lock on the door that she was crouched in front of with a hair pin that she had pulled from the base of her ponytail a moment before.

"Shh, you're gonna get us caught." Betty whispered back towards him before she bit her bottom lip as she wiggled the pin further into the lock, trying her hardest to pick it.

For such a high security place, the locks all over The Sisters Of Quiet Mercy were very dated, and Betty really needed a pin and a few minutes to open them. Betty and Jughead's investigation in where Polly was had led them to The Sister's, and although they had seen her earlier that day, she was missing again, and the best place to look for clues as to where she could be would be at The Sister's, where she had been for the past month or so.

"I've almost got it." Betty mumbled, her nose scrunching in concentration, though both herself and Jughead froze as they heard footsteps and voices down the corridor, and she looked back at him with a panicked look.

He looked around for a moment before he spotted a closet and gently gripped Betty's arm as he pulled her towards it. "I'm here, shh." He hissed as he pulled the door open and went inside with her, his arm curling around her shoulders to hold her against himself as he shut the door as quietly as he could so that they wouldn't get caught.

Both teenagers held their breath as they waited for the people to pass the closet door. Betty could faintly feel Jughead's heartbeat pounding in his chest against her back, not commenting on it when his arm tightened around her shoulders to hold her that much closer against himself. For a moment she was brought back to merely a few hours ago when he was stood in the middle of her bedroom and kissed her, and if it wasn't for the situation that they were in she'd have smiled sheepishly at the thought.

The voices outside of the hallway started to fade along with their footsteps, and after another few moments Betty guessed they had turned the corner at the end of the corridor as she could no longer hear them.

"That was close." Jughead exhaled, loosening his grip on her enough so that she could turn to face him, barely making out his face in the darkness of the closet.

Betty looked up at him for a moment before she sighed, her shoulders slumping a little as she frowned a little. "Do you think we'll find her?" She asked softly after a moment. She had already went months without seeing her sister, and that was hard enough even though she was safe. Though now Polly was alone and probably lost - so the chances of seeing her again were slimmer. Her waterline tingled with the build up of tears at just the thought of never seeing Polly again.

"What? Of course I do," Jughead responded softly, and after a moment she felt his hand gently cupping her cheek. "We're gonna find her, okay? I promise. If anyone could find her it'd be you, Nancy Drew."

Betty smiled slightly in the dark despite the few silent tears that had escaped her waterline and slipped down her cheeks. "Okay," She whispered and nodded her head slightly. "Thanks, Jug."

"No problem," He shook his head, and lifted his hand enough against her cheek so that the pad of his thumb could gently graze her skin. "Listen, uhm," He cleared his throat, his eyes meeting her's in the dark. "About earlier-"

Before he could even finish what he was saying Betty reached up to grip the collar of his jacket to lean up and kiss him, effectively cutting off his words. It was probably a terrible time, one of the workers could come back at any moment and find them, though she couldn't help herself. Being with Jughead was like nothing she had ever felt, not even with Archie. With Archie it had been a girlish crush and giggling with Kevin about what it might be like to kiss him. Though with Jughead, since she had started getting really close with him since the beginning of the school year, it was a good different.  It was knowing that she had someone who she could completely trust with everything, though someone who could also sweep her off of her feet with one kiss. And in that moment, worried about her sister and what would happen, she didn't want to talk about it. She just wanted to experience it and let him help her through it.

Jughead's free hand pressed against the small of her back to pull her closer to him, and after a moment she could feel him smiling into the kiss as he leaned down closer to her. She was smiling properly again by the time they had pulled away, and let her eyes stay closed for a moment as his palm rubbed along her back.

"We can talk about that later," Betty whispered, meeting his gaze in the dark once more. "Let's just find my sister first."
