It was no doubt that jun fudo was the talk of the of the school, cliche it was like the perfect girl seen in many chick flicks you had seen. everyone constantly swooned over her from the guys in all sorts of clubs to the girls in your class. papers that were in reality love letters filled her locker as you often watched the pile dramatically fall to the floor, each time she would be surprised to the notes confessing their underlying love to the girl.
"how many letters is that?" you asked your best friend as she swooped down the gather the numerous envelopes. some were plain, some were doused in lace and glitter, and some were simply passable to say an art teacher. stepping up, jun had neatly organized the envelopes as she began counting.
"thirteen," she stated smiling at you. you playfully widened your eyes while giggling.
"does that make it a new record?" your best friend had smacked your shoulder with the stack in response, "how come you don't date someone who confessed to you already?"
shutting the locker, jun had turned to you as the two of you walked to your classrooms together.
"well almost everyone who does confess to me is someone i don't know. i haven't even talked to a majority of them so they're complete strangers," you gave jun you full attention as she continued to express herself, "if i was going to date someone i would rather have them be my friend first and get close with them so i could see the person they are."
"so," you paused as jun stopped walking to face you, "are you confessing to me?" you asked in a foolish way getting her to smile.
"yes of course," she replied as she then made kissing gestures before continuing to walk.
"no but i get it, i'd rather spend time with someone as friend than rather date a complete stranger," agreeing with the same thoughts as her. the hallways were crowded with duos and trios of groups your fellow classmates and school mates. some had turned to both yours and jun's direction, some whispering to each other as they questioned your relationship with her. others prompted to discover new ways to win over jun's hearts. her classroom soon came into view as she turned to you saying her goodbye, she leaned in to give you a hug.
