about & warnings: modern/college au, no demons, angstperhaps he was born to meet him, but why did he run away?
with a bond that held such an importance to both of them, feeling the dopamine whenever their hands brushed against one another. the look of admiration one would catch the other glancing, only to fluster when caught red handed like a child. but that smile, so endearing and welcoming. it really was the only thing that melted the glaciers in his heart, thawing to feel human emotions.
absurd for someone to believe they were not equal to others in the sense they could not feel the raw emotions that are carried within being human, but somehow akira's kindness and love was enough to thaw ryo on the inside. the only dilema was the reality in which ryo did not understand the emotions. feelings of admiration, love, passion all too unfamiliar and overwhelming.
anyone viewing the position of a person disregarding the affect in which words not even once or twice thought of and just being spewed for ears to catch would feel some shock.
ryo had been treated with all of what akira had to give, if he could physically pry out his heart and give for ryo he would. not the most pleasant of imagery as ryo had said to the man before him giving him that gruesome confession, akira had only laughed with his little apology. a warm hand on ryo's shoulder pulling him close to the embrace.
"my bad," he smiled placing a kiss on ryo's cheek. uncontrollably, it tinted in a foreign pink causing him to look away. feeling the hair tickle against his neck when akira buried his face in the crook of the aloof man's neck. a scent like no other, even the aroma of the sweetest fruits from a tree blossoming ripe and ready to be picked couldn't compare to ryo's own scent. comforting, clean, and proved that he was there with him.
but even with the swirl of butterflies that swarmed whenever akira did that gesture, hold the door for ryo, and checking up on him in the early hours of the morning didn't heal the anxiety surging in ryo's veins. it was a fear, apprehension that foreshadowed the end of the relationship.
truly he cared for akira, it's what he wanted to say but those words had never left the tip of his tongue. only bitten back, silenced and watching the tall boy softly gazing at him like the most precious jewel on earth. caressing him with the look of awe and admiration as if he caressed the cold stone of an angelic statue.
akira believed that never once beneath the moon would the love suddenly end, his heart would grow with each passing day and with each word ryo had spoken. though the words on that unfaithful night were enough to shatter the muscle like careful glass.
blunt and emotionless like the first day he met ryo were the same when he he stated an ending to the relationship. to the point with no explanation, and believing to himself akira would take it easily when in fact he didn't.
starstruck, ryo had never believed he has seen someone go through so many emotions in the amount of time in which he could snap his fingers. emotions swarming like a flock of crows, within them had anger, shock, regret, sadness, all attacking akira whilst ryo watched a few steps in front of him. confused upon seeing warm tears roll down akira's face, droplets soaking the road they stood on. soon to be evaporated into the sky and perhaps one day rain on.
