horrible. absolutely horrible. how could that disaster of a date go so horribly wrong. miko groaned as she finally laid onto the plush comforters of her soft bed. letting out a sigh as she stretched and wiped her face of whatever disgusting spit that boy left on the corner of her lips.

"there's no way i'm straight after that," sitting up, she let the tight braid of her hair fall softly before combing the strands with her fingers. why did miko decide to go on a date with the weird geek from her biology class? she wanted to deny her feelings of a familiar and beloved green-eyed girl that she had been friends with since childhood. it had been as if something sparked inside of her the moment miko met her beloved friend miki. love at first sight some would like to call it. it had been a feeling growing inside her all these past years, yet she wanted to bury those feelings six feet under the ground believing that miki would never have the equivalent feelings. miko knew she was interested in women yet wanted to try out a date with a boy just once, just to see if maybe the spark she felt with miki she could somehow feel with someone else. yeah never, not after the goodbye kiss that went wrong. the geek completely missed, kissing the corner of miko's lips with wet slobbery lips.

boys are disgusting she thought to herself. now in her pajamas, miki had decided to reside for the night. recalling the blatant events of today. if only she had refused to go on the date with the random boy she had never encountered besides pairing up with for an assignment. if only it was miki that asked her. if only her and miki were together. oh how she wanted to hold her soft hands, caress her face, stare into her addicting eyes. a sight for sore eyes was definitely a way to describe miki. miko's face tinted with a light blush as her face grew warm while her heart began to flutter. the butterflies swarmed in groups in her stomach as she felt like she was laying on a cloud. what would she give to have miki laying next to her right now, to hold her close, whisper sweet nothingness into her ears, be in each other's embrace. asleep, she dreamt of what her and miki could be.

the morning light broke miko from her honey sweet slumber met with the sour taste in her mouth of morning breath. twisting in disgust, she pulled off the covers while rubbing her eyes. slouched footsteps were heard as well as the morning dew song of the birds outside of her window. pulling the minty fresh toothpaste she brushed her teeth while looking at herself in the mirror. hair mangled she brushed and tied it into her signature braided pony tail as she continued brushing. spitting the foam from her mouth she washed her face and got dressed for school. the front door opened and closed signaling her departure, morning sun left a golden hour hue across the land. she smiled taking in the peaceful and calm setting. miko looked at her dragon snaps as they had finally bloomed and flourish, something similar to her heart when she realized that miki was waiting by the entrance of the apartments.

"morning miko!" miki chimed with a cheery smile as she looked up at the devilman. miko smiled in return.

"morning," she replied sluggishly, still tired desiring more sleep. the two girls began taking the route to school before miki decided to initiate a conversation.

"sooo," she dragged, "how was your date last night? was he your prince charming?"

stopping in her trance, miko glanced at miki with a traumatizing look on her face.
