Chapter 15 - It's complicated

"Can I stay with you?" Jax askes looking hopeful

"I err...."

What with him being considerably younger that both Ally and I, Jax and I had never really been close.

In truth when I was younger I had secretly despised him for getting all my parents attention.

Jay's arm on my shoulder brings me out of my daze

"Why don't we all go inside and talk about whats going on" he suggests moving past me and pulling out his keys.

"Yeah I think you owe us an explanation" I say to Jax accusingly.

My phone starts ringing and I rummage in my bag for it and see that it's my mum.

"Its mum isn't it" Jax says quietly

"Yeah" I reply before answering it.

"Hello" I answer placing the phone on speaker

"Ahh Bailey-Jay I have a question for you"

"Ok what is it?"

"I don't suppose you have seen Jackson, only he walked out earlier and I haven't seen him all day" she tells me genuinely concerned

I look at Jax and he has a very guilty look on his face

"Yeah we just got home from work and he was waiting for us at the door" I tell her

"So your still with that Detective then" she says her tone instantly changing

I sigh, my happy mood completely vanished

"Yes but we're not talking about that now"

"Can you tell Jackson to come home immediately"

I look at Jax who looks ready to punch something

"I'm not coming back and you know that, not after what you said about them" he says down the phone the anger in his voice evident.

"But honey you must come home, you don't want to like with them surely" my mother responds.

I notice that Jay has his fists clenched obviously pissed, because if I said this to my mother she would have had a very different reaction

"No I'm moving in with Bailey and Jay, and you can't do anything about it" Jax says before hanging up the phone

"You better have a very good explanation for this" I say setting my phone down and turning to Jax

"Its complicated" is his reply

Jay steps in before I lose it at my brother

"Ok so I think we can let Jackson stay for a few days and try work things out with your parents" he says looking from Jax to me and back again.

"Fine spare room is down the hall and on the left" i say bluntly

Jax nodds and walks off dragging his case behind him

Jay comes over and wraps his arms around me.

"What the fuck just happened" I say resting my head on his shoulder

"I'm sure that if he's anything like you he'll give in and tell us what's happend eventually" Jay says kissing me

It's true I was terrible at secrets and told Jay everything relevant or not.

"Jay?" I say gazing into his eyes

"Mmm"

"Can we order a takeaway I can't be bothered to cook"

"Sure why not" he replies chuckling and reaching for his phone

Hey guys I just wanted to let you know  that there probably won't be another update until the weekend.

I have Just started my final week in Y11 and want to make the most of my last few days  with my friends as a year group as I probably won't see most of the people again
