Chapter 14 - So many choices

Sorry updates are slow at the moment. I've just finished 3 weeks of exams which will impact my final grades so obviously I put most of my time into revision. I finish school next week so updates should become a bit more regular :)

It was about 5 am and both Jay and I were awake,wide awake.

He had woken me up moaning that he was horny. So obviously I was going to help him out.

But we didn't get very far at all, because as soon we had started making out I jumped out of bed and ran over to the bathroom and puked up the entirety of last nights dinner.

"Baby you ok?" He asks me pulling my hair out of my face as I was sick again.

"Yeah I think so" I respond after the vomiting had finally stopped. "I mean I don't feel sick.

"Maybe it was something you ate" he suggests offering me a hand to get up

"Yeah maybe" i reply picking up the mouthwash off the counter.

"You want me to call Voight tell him your ill"

"No no, I'll be fine" i say brushing him off. "Just let me have a shower and freshen up a bit and I'll be good to"

"Ok" he says kissing me "that still doesnt help the fact that I'm horny" he mutters as he turns to leave.

I laugh at this statement he really was like a horny teenager at times.

"Well I guess there is room for another person in the shower" i say turning round to switch the shower on before stepping out of my pyjamas.

Almost as soon as in finished talking I Jay grabbed Me and stepped into the running shower pressing his lips to mine

3 hours later

I was incredibly bored, we had picked up a case but had made little to no progress. I was sat with Antonio watching hours of CCTV footage hoping we could identify a suspect.

I feel my phone vibrate in my pocket and pull it out.

J:If we get out of here on time what do you say to a bit of shopping

B: ooo what kind of shopping?? 🤔

J: ring shopping 💍

B: 🥰 of course

J: I knew you'd want to :)

I'll go on Google and find a decent jewelery shop.

B: ugh lucky you im still stuck looking at this footage

J: I know. And I'm just as bored as you if not more so 😛

B: 🙄🖕

J: Love you too 😘

B:........

I was halfway through texting my response when Antionio called my name.

"Cooper I think I've got something"

I jump out of my seat amd walk over to where he was sat.

We were in the small tech room just off the garage so nobody else was with us.

He plays the footage pointing out what he noticed and inagree with him, this could be the break we are looking for.

We put the footage onto a USB key and half run half walk back up the stairs tonthe bullpen to show everyone else what we had discovered.

What Antoinio had discovered turned out to be exaclty what we needed and we got the guy within a few hours.

Voight mist have been in a good mood as he let us all go home early.

Jay and I headed straight for the jewlery store and walked in hand in hand.

"There's so many to choose from" I say feeling a little overwhelmed

"I don't know how we're going to choose" he replies with a smile

We spend the next hour walking round the store and talking to the sales assistant about what kind of thing we wanted.

Jay decided quite quickly what he wanted it was plain and simple but still looked amazing.

It took me a lot longer to decide but I eventually settled on one with a small diamond in the middle surrounded by some leaves

It was perfect.

I couldn't keep the smile off my face, and all the way back home I chatted to Jay about the rings and our wedding which was now only a month away.

I was still chatting when we stepped out the elevator, which was working for once.

I only trailed off when I noticed a figure stood waiting outside out door a suitcase beside them

"Jax?" I say confused

"What the hell are you doing here?"
