Parkers pov

I sigh and glance down at my phone. Why am I even here. I should have said no to coving catherines shift.

I guess Its because I assumed he'd be here.

I think blues avoiding me. He hasn't come to the library in over two weeks and he hasn't replied to any of my texts or calls.

Maybe he's in danger?

I groan at the thought, I don't even know what to do.

Did I do something wrong? Was he that disgusted by jake kissing me?

I sigh and throw my feet up on the desk before leaning back in my chair.

"Maybe he's jealous."

I frown, why would he even be jealous? Blue doesn't like me like that. Plus if he was jealous why would he avoid me?

My thoughts are quickly cut off by someone walking into the large library.

"Blue!" He stares at me for a moment before smiling softly.

"H-hey parker, how've you been?" I tilt my head softly. He's acting strange.

"I'm fine... are you ok?" He nods softly and passes me three or four book.

"I thought you wasn't working today." I begin to scan the books, a pang of nervousness crossing my body.

Is he trying to avoid me? "I shouldn't be, i'm covering Catherines shift. Why haven't you been coming here recently? Finally bored of reading book?" I smirk at my own comment but he looks away.

"N-no I just am busy with school and my job and stuff."

Stuff.

What stuff.

He's never had 'stuff' this whole year to make him come here. He actually does his schoolwork here and everything.

Silence fills the gap between us, both of us aware of the tension thats risen around us.

"Hey blue, why haven't you-" his phone dings and he frowns. "I uhh gotta go, b-bye!" I frown as he rushes away, leaving half the books be brought to me.

Yeah, he's definitely avoiding me.

Blues pov

I quickly open the back door to the bar and wince at the deep voice im greeted with. "You're late."

I stare up at Michael, my boss, and nod. "I know and I'm sorry, it wont happen again." He glares at me before looking away.

"You're lucky you're one of the popular ones or I'd have fired you a long time ago." I nod softly.

"I know, i'm sorry." He rolls his eyes before shoving me towards the small dressing room. "Just hurry up, sarah isn't what we advertised and people are getting rowdy." I nod and hurry away.

I hate this job.

I've worked at this popular bar called 'black and white' for around two years now. I either work behind the bar serving drinks or I... I sing.

Look, it's not something i'm proud of but as someone whose homeless I can't exactly be picky with my income.

At least this job is legal.

I sigh as I put on the same outfit I do every time. It's a simple outfit, a white shirt and black dress pants along with a black tie. Nothing too embarrassing.

(Play song)

I sigh as I hear the music start.

I really do hate this job.
