One Of Them

Memories Pt 2

*still flashback but timeskip Y/N POV*

I straighten out my clothes and open the castle door then head outside. I hop onto our private bullhead and ride it to Vale. After landing I make my way to my favorite restaurant then head to my favorite booth. Reaching it I see a woman with red hair waiting for me. She gets out of the booth and wraps me in a hug. I get a devious smile and firmly grab her butt. She gasps and punches my chest.

Y/N: "You leave yourself open too much Scarlet."

She looks to the side and hmphs at me while crossing her arms.

Scarlet: "Pervert."

Y/N: "Oh come on, that's why you love me."

She smiles and leans my head down connecting our lips. Yes me and Scarlet are dating, we have been for almost a decade. We break the kiss and sit down at our booth.

Y/N: "So how's work?"

Scarlet: "Same old same old. But there has been a huge influx in Grimm extermination missions. From what the reports say the Grimm population just skyrocketed outta nowhere. And we have no idea why."

Y/N: "Weird. How's your mom Abagail by the way?"

Scarlet: "Pretty good. She said she likes the flowers you sent her. Speaking of mothers, when am I going to meet yours?"

I freeze and hesitate. Despite dating for so long there are still two things I won't tell her. They are my mom and my more Grimm side. I refuse to tell her because I fear how she'll react. I also fear something bad will happen if she finds out.

Y/N: "Soon I hope."

Scarlet: "You've been saying that ever since we started dating. I'm starting to think you don't have a mother."

I roll my eyes when we place our orders then eat. After we are finished we stand up.

Y/N: "Got anymore of those extermination missions?"

Scarlet: "Just one. I was saving that one for after lunch."

Y/N: "Mind if I help you?"

Scarlet: *smiles* "Not at all."

We lock hands and begin walking towards the location of her last extermination mission.

*timeskip*

I receive an upwards slash which cuts into my chest. I land on my back and am pinned down by an Alpha Beowolf. I hear a scream and see Scarlet getting surrounded by Beowolves. I look at the Alpha Beowolf and close my eyes letting my Grimm side free.

3rd POV

Y/N bursts into his humanoid Beowolf form and effortlessly kills the Alpha Beowolf pinning him down. He then roars as loud as he can which makes the Beowolves around Scarlet charge towards him. What follows is a severely one sided slaughter as Y/N tears through the Beowolves with little to no effort. While the massacre unfolds Scarlet watches in horror at her transformed boyfriend.

The Grimm Y/N grabs the top of the last Beowolf's head and yanks it off like he was cracking open a can. His eyes then fall on Scarlet; he pins her down and opens his jaws. Scarlet cries tears of terror before she gathers enough energy to speak.

Scarlet: "Y/N? Are you there?"

Grimm Y/N freezes and tilts his head at Scarlet. She cups his cheek and speaks softly.

Scarlet: "It's me Scarlet, remember?"

The Grimmified Y/N's ears go down as he looks down and whimpers. Scarlet smiles thinking she got through to him. Her smile fades when Y/N looks back at her and growls. The sounds of Scarlet's terror filled scream echos through the forest before being silenced by Y/N closing his jaws.

Y/N POV

I open my eyes and groan while holding my pounding head. I go to get up when my hand touches something warm. I look down to see a trail of blood. I follow it and go wide eyed seeing Scarlet's corpse. I run to her and feel my heart sink seeing the sight of her torn body. I look at her face and see it has been damaged the worst.

Her once perfect doll like face is now forever torn and riddled with bite marks. I pull Scarlet's lifeless body to me and cry before screaming in anguish at the gruesome act I have committed. After a while I collect myself and give her a proper burial. I hang my head when I hear mother's voice.

Salem: "I warned you. I warned you about opening your heart to her but you didn't listen. The love she had for you was replaced with fear. That fear called to the Grimm within you and made you do this. You didn't listen and now you'll have to spend eternity with the memory of knowing your love for her put her in this grave."

Y/N: "That's the thing about memories mother, they can be forgotten."

Salem: "Maybe, but the feelings associated with them will always linger."

*final timeskip*

I sneak into the back of a parked truck and open the crate housing a gold sword. The moment I touch the handle I am transported to an all white area where I hear this disembodied voice.

Voice: "What is it you seek?"

Y/N: "I want something destroyed."

Voice: "That can be done, but you must specify what it is you want destroyed."

Y/N: "All of my memories."

Voice: "You wish shall be granted but your memories will not fade they will only be suppressed. Any feelings you have with them will also still exist."

Y/N: "I don't care, just take these memories away."

3rd POV

The sound of fingers snapping is heard and Y/N convulses onto the ground. Y/N awakens back inside the truck before escaping, taking off all but his underwear and running into the woods.

*flashback over*

Ruby returns to the real world and walks to Y/N with tears in her eyes. She then pulls Y/N into a hug when he speaks.

Y/N: "I didn't mean to kill her. I loved her."

Ruby: *voice breaking* "I know."

Y/N returns Ruby's hug as the both of them cry although for different reasons. Ruby finally understanding why Y/N pushes people away and Y/N as all his memories come flooding back along with all the pain connected to them.
