Finding Peace

3rd POV

Ruby makes it up the steps when she hears a roar and glass shattering. She bursts into the room to find Y/N gone and glass all over the bed. The others run into the room and take notice of the mess.

Yang: "What happened?"

Ruby: "I think Y/N just went into the city."

Jaune: "We have to stop him before he destroys the city."

The heroes run out of the house and down the road. When they round the corner they see a horde of people running away and screaming. They look past the horde and see multiple building on fire, trashed streets with flipped over or destroyed cars and sirens blaring. 

Ren: "Where is he?"

There's suddenly a chill in the air making the heroes turn around to find Salem.

Ozpin: "What're you doing here!?"

Salem holds up her hands in a surrender motion and speaks calmly.

Salem: "I sensed Y/N lose control and have merely come to calm him down."

Yang: "You're the enemy!"

Salem: "Look, we can either fight or stop your friend from destroying the city. Which is going to be?"

The heroes ponder before holstering their weapons. Salem lowers her hands and whistles as loud as she can. A car goes flying out into the opening with Y/N following closely behind it. He looks at the heroes, pounds the ground with his fists and roars at the top of his lungs. He then takes off towards them when Salem stands in front of the heroes and holds out her hand.

Salem: *eyes shine* "Stop."

Y/N stops but roars and tries his hardest to claw at her. Before he can connect Salem grabs Y/N by his neck and raises him into the air. She applies pressure making Y/N screech and claw her face. Salem screams in pain while dropping Y/N. Y/N hunkers down and pounces onto Salem. He brings his claws back ready to claw her when Salem kicks him down the street.

Y/N does two side flips before using his front claws to slide to a stop. The Alpha Beowolf side of his face displays a sinister smile and emits a loud but low howl. There's a moment of silence before Teryxes screech and swarm towards Salem. Salem growls before having her eyes shine making the Teryxes burst into dust. However Y/N jumps through the thick sheet of smoke and knocks Salem to the ground. She tries to punch him off but he pins her arms down and opens his jaws wide while bringing them closer to her. Before he can chomp down on her head Ruby calls out making Y/N snap his head up at her.

Ruby: "Y/N, it's me Ruby. You remember me?"

Y/N roars, charges at Ruby and pins her against the ground. He then roars into her face hoping to scare her. She however doesn't flinch.

Ruby: "I know you're in there. I need you to come back to us. We want our friend back."

Y/N: "Y/N... is... gone."

Ruby: "He's not, he's in there. If you won't come out for me then come out for Scarlet."

Y/N freezes and his Alpha Beowolf ear tucks back.

Ruby: "You loved her right? If she was still here she'd want you to come back to us."

Ruby then cups his cheek and speaks calmly.

Ruby: "We're waiting for you."

A tear escapes the human side of his face when his head shoots up to heavens and he roars in a high pitch tone. He thrashes onto his back and convulses until his Grimm traits burst into dust as he returns to normal. 

Y/N POV

I return to the real world and sit up to be tackled by Ruby into a hug.

Y/N: *returns hug* "Thank you, thank you for being there for me."

Ruby: "We'll always be here for you."

3rd POV 

Shortly after rescuing Y/N from himself Salem used her magic to break the contract between her and the creature. When asked why she did that she only responded with a smile. Salem took her leave and returned to her castle. Once she left Ozpin got a call saying that the Grimm have left Beacon. After some time things returned to normal and everyone went on with their lives.

While RWBY and JNPR went on with their lives Y/N had another encounter with Salem who said she was done with her evil ways. After a very long talk everyone accepted her but still vowed to keep their eye on her. Salem kept true to her word and become Y/N's official mother. With the help of Salem and Ozpin's magic Scarlet was able to be resurrected and now her and Y/N live a happy life with both of them on pins and needles as they wait for their first child to be born.
